The action on NW 27 Ave goes all the way from the bridge over the Miami River at NW 20St to 103St in Hialeah. I have found all kinds of SWs on that stretch over the years. So what you encountered is not new, but it is definitely hit or miss. As to the aggressive tactics you encountered, yup, that's just the name of the game these days. Only problem is those Mongers operate mostly in Broward where the pickings are much better, and that's just too far of a drive for me from the Deep Swamps of the South.
