One was above a Popeye's place stunk like a dead animal when climbing the stairwell. My favorite place was diagonal from that one above a souvenir store. I swear I lived there for 3 summers. The girls were all in their 20's and they took good care of you. I know after 9/11 the party ended. Aschcroft closed all of them down due to the terrorist human trafficking risk. But it was a great time while it lasted. PM let me know if things are hoping again.

Trafficking that involves interstate commerce which is a federal offense. The laws regarding the spa fall under local jurisidiction. You can parse it anyway you want.

If the feds are pursuing a federal case they will coordinate with the local authorities to arrest the suspects which effectively will means the spa will be shutdown.

If the spa is closed by the local authorities and they suspect human trafficking they will appoint the case to the federal government.

After 9/11 they raided most of the spas in DC. The federal government was cracking down. What's next the chicken or the egg?

Interstate commerce of any kind falls under federal jurisdiction. Human trafficking, drug trafficking is a federal offense. Traffickers that facilitate this activity through a spa will be charged in a federal court.

That said breaking state and local laws is separate from federal offense. If you commit murder, prostitution or running a bawdy place you are breaking local and state laws.

What matters is who is leading the investigation. If the feds are leading the investigation then they will coordinate with local enforcement to arrest the traffickers for federal crimes. Simultaneously, local officials will charge them for local violations effectively shutting the AMP down.

On the flip side if the state and local authorities lead the investigation and find violations of human trafficking they will refer the case to the feds and charge them with local violations as well

After 9/11 the feds shutdown a lot of AMPs in DC. The terrorist/human trafficking risk was on the radar screen. They were looking for human traffickers which is a federal offense and led the raids

I guess maybe you're just too young or just full of it. But at it's peak there were AMPs even in Bethesda and Silver Spring. I also forgot to mention the AMPs near MCI center and the hookers on M street.

I never said anyone WON Or LOST, it was a discussion not a contest or arguement if you took it that way, that is your problem. You can't win or lose discussions. If anyone looks like anything it would be you, good on you if you drop the subject.

I am not wrong in my views that is just your opinion, and frankly it does not matter what you think. But you said "I proved your point" so that implied you thought pricing affects quality. If you didn't think that why say "You proved my point".

It could just as easily been a nearby business or resident who noticed the traffic going to the place and decided to investigate.

So many times people have been very direct with getting FS at an AMP I liked. Without fail they have all been shut down within about 6-9 months. I always stop going once someone is that direct about it and it is a good thing I do. I'm sure I saved myself from being caught up in a raid. Some people on this board will never learn.

It's not like Green Therapy discussion in USASG comes up on the first page of Google or anything, so it's likely someone who frequents this board for fun turned them in.

On a separate point, I always wondered why some members have to go in such gory details about their visits. Seems to me a simple "standard NoVA"/"beyond standard NoVA" would do the trick.
