wouldn't it help these ladies by becoming members of 'legitimate' society, becoming taxpayers, getting health insurance/benefits, removing the fear of prosecution and allow them to call police when abused as any woman would at her place of 'employment'?

Isn't it nice that she thanks her partner Desiree. I had an early day so I thought I would take advantage of it plus with the chat on the board about the changing of the law on our favorite hobby was another reason for heading down to Bali on Monday afternoon.
Called ahead to request Wendy who I met on my last visit but Mama said she was on vacation but had a new girl. Talked into the vestibule and noticed they had the Christmas decorations already up. While I have only posted once before, I am a long time reader of the forum and have been visiting the spas in Providence and Rhode Island for the better part of 5 years. I just finished watching Channel 10 News and it looks like the governor signed the bill out. Lawing indoor prostitution in Rhode Island. Not sure if this is in effect immediately or a date will be set. Although the News did make it did sound like it was in effect presently. I am pissed as I know all of you are. Total bullsh_t! As we all know, this is not about human trafficking or law enforcement ability to enforce the law, but rather the political agenda of Hughes, Gianni, Carcierri, and others in this wonderful small state. In my humble opinion, legalizing would have been a much better option for a number of reasons. Especially, if those in power were really concerned with a trafficking issue. Now, everything will go underground as in the other states. While I promise to be more careful, I still will continue to visit the establishments and continue to treat the women who provide the services with the utmost of respect. What a shame! Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

I don't actually think that Hughes is far left. She is a fan of former President Bush. And her position is basically that sex is bad in all its forms. For example, Hughes tried to shut down a sexual education workshop in Pawtucket.

So Hughes is basically a right-winger dressed up in feminist clothing. Most, but not all, left-wing feminists are sex-positive. They understand that, as Jhonny pointed out, regulating sex is always going to hurt women more than men (with the exception of gay men, I guess.) There are some left-wing feminists that are still anti-sex, but this was more common in the 70s and 80s.
Anyway, my point is, don't blame this on the feminists, or at least not all of them. Many of them support legalization and the rights of sex-workers.

I imagine it will be difficult to get appointments with established providers for awhile. I imagine some will ask for "references"
but in time they will feel the supply of customers dry up, their cashflow drop and new customers will find "regular options elsewhere.
