Ok, things just got even wierder. I just was reading the coments on my post and clicked one for then heck of it, and they have all changed to different pictures and adds. Scarry.

VS[/QUOTE]This is certainly an interesting problem. I believe I fall into a group that may be open to question by others. My problem is that I live in the UK and only get to monger in Fl once a year. That doesn't stop me having an opinion which I believe can be of benefit to others from time to time. Most of my posts are relating (as is this one) to other peoples posts. If anybody cares to check on my posts, which is a fairly easy task, they will see the variety and a few posts on actual experiences.

I don't believe the donut men would go to the trouble of posting over a lengthy time period without regular baiting of members in an effort to entice them into a trap. If I wasn't sure of a fellow members credentials and their information was that important to me (or mine to them) I would spend maybe ten minutes reviewing their posts to get a feel for their intentions.

As far as the ladies are concerned, there will always be some that can be turned by LEO because of the circumstances in which they find themselves, maybe a plea bargain for instance and who in all honesty could blame them.

In summary there is no absolute guarantee of anyones credibility on this forum. All we can do is use some common sense and think with the big head. I trust no-one not even myself at times. Sure my judgement can be corrupted by a hot body / pretty face. Tell me who wouldn't be at some time in their life, monger or not.

I don't share much specific info via PM unless I've have confirmations from a couple of providers that the monger has visited them or from a trusted senior I have got to know over the years. I know a couple of senior members who post a lot and I've never run into a girl who knows them. Now they might not share with the lady their Forum handle, but there are other ways to figure stuff out. I also know of a couple of senior members with a lot of posts who have met ladies, but never "consummated" the relationship. Seems odd, so I am guarded with what I will share with them. Sometimes I will get a little more liberal with information if I go back and read their posts and see them sharing information that they would not know unless they were true mongers. Some of that is more art than science.

There are a lot of "me too" seniors out there and I don't give them much credibility. They will typically just add on to things others have already said all the time. There are also those who like to brag. I rarely take them very serious and read their posts only for entertainment. I don't share with them as just like in the business world, those who brag are just clusterfucks waiting to trip over their mouths.

If anyone PMs me, in most cases I will respond, but the level of detail will vary. The first thing I look at is the number of posts about encounter rather than just the total number of posts. As we all know a senior member may have a lot of posts, but few encounters. If their encounters are low, I encourage them to go for it and make a report. If I was fortunate enough to be passed a number from another monger, I won't pass it on. The person asking can go to the offerer of the number just like I did. What I have found out in the locations where I have spent a significant amount of time in the last 15 years is, that there are just a handful of mongers in a particular area that are dead on when it comes to information and know the landscape very well in all aspects, SW, Escorts, locations, history. I tend to pay attention to their reports more and would PM them if I needed an opinion on something. Mongers who criticize others, I tend to avoid. I look for info to get laid, not what somebody thinks of someone else. My rule of thumb is that if I can glean 10% of good data out of reports that helps to score, it is a success. So the consistent mongers is where I usually put the most weight on accurate reporting. I think I differ from WOF in the area of using providers as references. We just have a different process. If a provider mentions other mongers who she has seen, most cases it is not a secret,that is cool, but I would not ask a provider about any details about other mongers out of the blue or in a PM. I may ask a provider when I am with her if she has run into any freaks, but that is about it. It is just my business. For new mongers I would recommend posting good and fair reports and avoid getting caught up in the opinion game other than in the General section.
Just a couple thoughts based on what I have experienced over the years.

I respect OS and his valid opinion, but I am exactly the opposite. I resisted for over two years before I finally gave in. I now have a rather large ignore list. It certainly isn't foolproof because the ignored guys' can still easily read your posts. However, it's one tool that is an option for members' to use. It is also much more enjoyable reading the forum for me. This way, I don't have to see posts from members that I don't care for, or do not trust. They also cannot PM me. Obviously, the decision to use the ignore feature is your choice. My. 02.

The only thing I know for sure, is that nobody knows it all, so when someone comes off like that, it puts a small rock in my shoe. I would never put someone like that ignore though, because even a horse's ass like that can have a useful post from time to time.

If I get a PM asking for info on one of my reviews from someone with very little posting info, I will tell the requestor straight out that I don't know them and can't verify him. I usually just reiterate what was said in my review and am very careful what I say, because I don't want to put the provider in a bad position with a questionable guy. I read all posts in the Orlando forum, so I have a pretty good idea of what most senior mongers are like and if they ask a question, most of the time I try to be as helpful as I can. There are several senior members that have given me good info and it a good thing to be able to bounce thoughts around with people that are in similar situations as yourself. There is only a small handful of seniors that I would not share info with.
