It has been almost a yr since I gave up meat but the palms did have a banging steak. Possibly the best I have ever had. They have awesome prime rib and crab cakes too.

Those chessy potatoes are off the hook.

Nothing like a good salad, a quality potatoes, and large side of cottage cheese covered with black pepper with your steak.

On that note I do still eat seafood. Where do you think has the best around? Especially crabcakes.

We haven't seen much from her in the way of ads lately (January / February 2015) but heard that she might be back to strolling. Paige.[/QUOTE]There are three seafood restaurant's in Orlando that I tend to favor. Narcoossee's at The Grand Floridian and The Oceanaire Seafood Room on I-Drive.

These 2 are a little pricey but worth it. A more budget friendly option with a mom and pop atmosphere is Julie's Waterfront on Orange Ave.

Ocean Prime or Big Fin on Restaurant Row (Sand Lake), and Dragonfly for sushi.

But, the best crab cakes in Florida are in Tampa at Michael's Grill.

Speaking of great seafood and Tampa, there used to be a place on the Southern end of 22nd Street Causeway that had the best crab rolls. We used to go by on a road trip through that area and pick up a bag of those things and just make ourselves sick as we drove. I think they went away when the causeway.

I do miss Shell's. And I have not found anything out there as good. High Tide Harry's runs a close second but I bet there is better. Any suggestions from anyone about who has fresh sea food?

High Tide Harry's is def the best for a quality seafood meal on a budget. Their crab cakes are surprisingly good. Love their buffalo frog legs!!

I really like the Oceanaire on IDrive. They have some awesome baked alaska for dessert too!!

All this talk is making me hungry. Might have to hit up hit up high tide's for lunch!

So, the owners of Michael's Grill in Tampa on N. Dale Mabry used to run a Shell's but their food is so much better. Try it.

As for seafood in Orlando, and normal pricing, I absolutely love Boston's out on the east side. Can check out NaNa and have some awesome seafood on the same trip! That would be a great afternoon in my book.
