Just moved to New Britain from MA. After discovering this thread last night, thinking I found the Shangri-La of SWs, I giddily planned an after work field trip today. After the half hour drive from NB today, at the advice of a member on this forum, I started off at the intersection of willow and hillside. Then drove down willow and hillside both ways each. Then went to the intersection of hillside and pine and did the same thing. I repeated the process from 630-8 pm, then got dinner at a Mexican food truck that gets good yelp reviews (something fusion). Then repeated the above process AGAIN from 9-10 pm. I'd also say that the southern part of your search zone is more like the northern part of mine, but maybe someone with more familiarity with Waterbury would say differently. Go through the past pages, do a little trial and error. The idea that Waterbury is a Shangri-La, well, that might be an overstatement, but it's all relative. I don't think there's parades out there, but you'll see them if you keep looking. There's Hartford and New Britain to look at too. NB has been kind of dead except for the boys in blue, but I've seen a bit of life out there recently and for you it's right there anyway (though I could understand if you don't want to shit where you eat).

Ok, I decided to give it another shot and don't know if I found "The Loop," but one that will hopefully work for me. I start at the dollar store, take a right into grove, then take that until I take a right into willow, then another right into pine, then a right onto Cooke, until I hit the dollar store again. I've been at this tonight from 7-9 pm, took a break to eat, now I'm going to give it another hour before I give up and go home. I will say that for those that like BSWs, I have seen about 3-5 tonight, just not my thing, and another couple uggos.
