All I can say is WTF.
I am getting ready for Vegas and wanted to see what the board would recommend for the best place for getting a steak dinner. It doesn't have to be on the strip either. I will have wheels and do not care about the price. Mind you most expensive does not always equal best.
Had dinner at The Flame in the El Cortez during my trip last November, had a NY Strip and was very impressed (I used to live in beef country and got great steaks all the time). Price was reasonable plus I had a two for one coupon from the LasVegas Advisor website so my son's steak was free (save money on food, more $ for me-time). Best part was the atmosphere, real old school elegance and service plus had a table of could-be wise guys celebrating Joey's birthday a couple of tables away. Will repeat when I am next in town.
"I'm expecting my P. O. To show up any second"
It happened to me today. Needless to say, her paranoia made me even more nervous.
Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steahouse on Paradis Road. Excellent.
Went to Del Friscos and Smith & Wolenskies. Got prime porterhouse at Del Friscos a Prime T-bone at S&W. I probably liked seasoning a little better at S&W but I have to give the nod to Del Friscos. I am still thinking about that steak. Incredibly tender, wow. I was thinking next time try two more but it will be hard not to return to Del Friscos. Ate off strip two other nights and had awesome meals on the cheap. Chapalas (Mexican) on East Sahara was awesome as was Archies (Thai) on West Flamingo. The waitresses in Archies were beautiful but then again I prefer asians. Salut.
I'm wondering if there's any interest in a roadtrip to Tijuana, Mexicali or Los algodones? If so PM me. I figure rent a car for the w / end if we can get 4 people and split 4 ways it would be cheaper and safer in numbers?

I 100% would go.

It would be in July be / see I need time to get a passport and you know the Government they slow as hell!
It would be in July be / see I need time to get a passport and you know the Government they slow as hell!
If you are walking or driving across the border, you only need a passport card, not a full passport. It is quite a bit cheaper, the processing time is the same.
Thanks for the info I'll do that instead of hopefully it will be faster / cheaper?
According to the State Department Web site, the processing time is the same so it probably won't be faster. But it is quite a bit cheaper. If you are only going to Canada / Mexico / Caribbean and not by air, then you only need the card. Of course, if you ever plan to go by air or go somewhere else you will need the full book, so you might want to get it anyway.
Passport card. $30+$25 processing = $55.
Passport book. $110+$25 = $135.
Both book and card. $140+$25 = $165
