I haven't been the safest player in the game, and I've only gotten one STD, and it was from a girl that I knew for years. It was a painful fungal infection and some antibiotics cleared it up, but that was a harsh two weeks. I've heard that STD transmission is way more common in drunken bar girls than in sex workers. The few people I've known who had STDs got them from one-night stand pickups. Most hookers are actually safer than most party girls.
