Well, I guess it was bound to happen. One club has closed back down due to a staff member contracting Covid. Clermont Lounge has said that the remaining staff will be tested. I'm wondering if this may start a new round of closures?

O.[/QUOTE]I really don't think any surviving club will become the "it" spot. Atlanta clubs on the whole, even before COVID, were closing or changing their business model. Follies was pretty much the only club sustaining. There will still be a handful of clubs to get extras, but it won't be the meat market of Follies. And it probably will not be the price point of Follies either.
I do agree that location is extremely important. While I think they could potentially move and thrive under optimal conditions, there is no logical means of doing that in a COVID environment.

I get so sick of the hassle of the RL girlfriends, the sugar babies, the escorts. Follies was the one place I could go, relax, have fun in the club with one of about 12 girls of my liking, and damn near always line up takeout with a hot spinner if I wanted to. I've gotten quality takeout from clubs all over the US, but Follies was one of the few where you could have a blast in the club, test drive as many as you wanted, and get takeout without having to even work for it.
For those looking for an alternative to Follies. Below is a list of clubs I could find that were considered "open" prior to COVID. Most of these clubs have a non-existent day shift and, for some, night shift ain't much better. Some are completely air dance. Some have no VIP. As COVID continues, I would guess half of this list will permanently close, with no clubs opening to replace.

I've been to strip clubs all over the US and nothing can ever replace follies, but I did go to Platinum a few weeks ago for the first time. All the strippers there claimed it was the "New Follies" which was funny to me since the VIPs were monitored, the drinks were extremely watered down, and there were only 1 or 2 great looking strippers. My recommendation is if you go with a couple friends, instead of each of you buying a bunch of drinks at the bar, split a bottle and then you get better seating and don't have to worry about the watered down drinks.

Even the ones who aren't from Follies are some hotties too. There is diversity depending on what you're looking for. The day I went I saw half AA and half Latina, a few white girls mixed in and maybe one "Bl-Asian. " (I know I didn't spell that right). It almost has the same Follies feel but it's a little more compact with some additional recreation (pool table) which is right in front of the prehistoric VIP room (at least the one I was in) As far as the "actions" I can't give too many details because I was there to meet the favorite and we have our normal routine but I'm sure it's about the same depending on the rapport you build.

The dayshift and nightshift are extreme polar opposites. One may even say it's as different as night and day or black and white.
So there will be some confusion when folks attempt to "appoint" another club as the "new" Follies. Some are looking for the equivalent of the dayshift and some the equivalent of the nightshift.
IMHO, you can find a lot of comparable spots to the nightshift, which skewed more to being a black club, than the day, which skews more to the opposite. Granted, there is some mix across the 2 shifts.
Hopefully, that helps a few. More than half the clubs I listed are primarily black clubs. It's safe to say Platininum would be an ok alternative to Follies nights.
So which club is the most like Daytime Follies? I just want to know where all the Cuban gals and Griffin girls landed is all. Anyone got the hookup?

It's such a unique and gratifying hands-on experience that easily places it in the Top 4 or 5 best clubs in America.
Some might say it's the best club in the USA, and I couldn't disagree although everyone has differing opinions about what makes a great club. My only beef with Follies is that I wish there were more hot looking white girls working there on day shift. I don't mind the Cubans and AA ladies but some buxom blonds with tiny tushes would be nice, too.

The bouncer "monitoring" VIP was also there and didn't bother my when I was in there at all. Nothing will replace follies but this is def a start.
I Run alot of restaurants. One of them had 17 positive cases Staff wise and they are still open. However I'm not a owner just a manager, if I could I would shut it down but the owners response is we attract a YOUNGER crowd it is rare for anyone over 60 to come to our restaurant, so we arent shutting down.

Hit up Fannies around 3. As it was last time I was here on a Friday, it was a little packed. It must of been "Tattoo Parlor Friday" as I saw 4 dancers with tats all over their body (including an Asian spinner with tats on both her ass cheeks). Actually saw a couple dancers who caught my eye: one was a thick white girl wearing noserings with a small thick ass. The other was a Colombian girl named Natalia who I talked with. Despite being thin, having big fake tits, a plump ass, and even braces (she was the sexiest girl there, looks and body wise), her personality was bleh. Tried starting a convo with her but she didn't seem interested (didn't even say anything after I told her she was the sexiest woman in the club). Her dancing consisted of twirling and bending over a few times. Tits and ass felt nice, but I guess maybe we really had no connection. Only wanted one dance from her and then I left. She said she been there a month. Look like she may have came from Follies.

I was told a swarm of them were there on Wednesday and when I went yesterday I saw a few I knew from before. The AA talent looks good in there as well. Going back to what someone else said in an earlier post. NOTHING WILL BE FOLLIES. But after being to like 5 different places, this appears to be similar to what we are familiar with only a little smaller. Bar is straight ahead as you walk in. To your left is where most of the dances go down with couches (sectional like) that surround the stage in the middle from what I remember. To your right is a little more lit up area where there are a few more seats with a pool table and the first VIP room across from it which bothered me because you're pretty much on front street and to someone else's point staff eyes may be watching. Mgr peeped in on me during my visit but wasn't that serious. Still investigating on "average VIP pricing," but from what I'm gathering it's up to the girl with no "house," or "bouncer" fee. There was also no cover charge on this day at around 3 pm and parking was $10 and I think its because it was a bit busier than what they usual anticipate. Apparently there is a downstairs area with VIP rooms as well from what I read but didn't see anything like that. Location is a bit congested because you're pretty much in downtown so get there early on a weekday if you can.

They have a menu board, X amount gets you this, X amount to get that along with it and so forth, that's after the dancer fee. You can rack up a lot of money quickly there and get nothing, as I did. From my experience you'd be better off with massage parlor or something honestly. Definitely scams.

I thought they all left, but maybe I'm just missing them.

Dayshifters are the same for the most part and so is the night shift. The VIP is still $50 same rules apply. Hell even the same restroom attendants work there. The only difference is the place seems bigger than what Follies was but yet more dancers available at a time. Maybe the building is physically bigger. There hasn't been a cover charge anytime I've been before 8 pm. I have even seen some dancers I haven't seen at Follies in a while before it closed down working in there.

Half of the club is used to play pool with only two small closets as VIP rooms. If follies staff has taken over Platinum, I'd personally stay away. The only reason Platinum was cool pre shutdown is because the bartenders and staff were laid back and cool. Anyone familiar with follies knows how rude and disrespectful they were to their customers. Hell, even the bathroom trolls at follies we're jackasses.

Certainly not all, but some of the staff and particularly the bartenders could be extremely rude. The guy that ran the parking was always nice unless he was really overwhelmed by cars waiting to park. One phrase never uttered by a a single staff member inside was "thank you". They squeezed every single dollar they could out of the customers and dancers but the only "thank you" I ever heard was from dancers. Funny, I was chased into the parking lot at Blaze when leaving one afternoon by a bouncer screaming "Sir, Sir, thanks for coming and come again". I've even had managers at other clubs ask me if I was having a good time? Miss the Follies girls and unlimited mileage but nothing else.
