In my opinion, I think the main reason they do a sting on SW in Philly is just to identify them and know who's out there in case a body turns up and they need to know who it is. Maybe also to check for warrants. Maybe also to check if they are being trafficked.

I haven't heard of any johns being locked up unless they have other criminal histories. Please correct me if you know anything different.

It was like saying, Prostitution is now legal if the cops were going to look the other direction.

Philadelphia experienced one of its worst crime waves in 2021, murders, car jackings and violent crime hit all time highs. With limited resources, it makes no sense that they would target street prostitution as a priority. Maybe an arrest or two for a particular neighborhood as a political gesture to those neighborhood crime watch committees but nothing of real concern.

Still, I wouldn't tempt fate by scooping in an obvious way but unless someone knows something specific, I question its validity.

And the new inhabitants make constant complaints about the drugs and prostitution, stings for girls and Johns is just what happens.

The police do not give a shit about who the girls are, or who has warrants. They could clear every street corner and half the people would have warrants, at any time on any day. These busts are just a show for the neighborhood associations, and true the guys might eventually get the charges dropped, but who wants to risk that?

Trust me it's happened recently, guys locked up after getting stopped picking up near Huntingdon. I saw videos from one of the Fishtown Facebook groups, prob 2 weeks ago. Heard they grabbed most of the girls the night before.

The feedback I'm getting is that the streets is more dangerous then ever before. It's crazy, when I drive around I see so many memorials and posters for missing people.

I say that because getting locked up is the only thing that will save them because if they didn't get locked up they would run themselves 6 ft into the ground. I think the other is for anyone engaging in the hobby to LEARN some skills on "how to!" It isn't as easy as in the movies.
