She said their phones get flooded with texts, mostly just fooling or silly or threatning, no real connects. If they are silly when they are talking to you, you can hang up and never pick up a call from that number again. Texts just pile up.

I'm wondered this myself as I prefer texting when making contact. I think (although I could be wrong) it used to be that anyone could obtain a copy of your texts (unlike calls there is a record of the "conversation" via text but in 2006 a law was passed that it made it illegal to get someones text without a warrant. Also, even though you delete the text there still may be a way to pull some of this info off a phone but that would also require a warrant and some high tech gear. It could also be that the girls use prepaid phone or plans with limited or no text provisions in order to save money. Just my 2 cents.

I prefer to speak to the person wanting the appointment for several reasons. I like to pay attention to the back ground noises. I also have a saying,"If you are an asshole on the phone 9 times out of 10 you are an even bigger asshole in person. I for one DO NOT deal well with those types of people. I want to know if the person is drunk or high, I will not see that person. I also want to know if this person is young, because I do not want to open my door to a little pimple face adolescent. I would rather pay for the extra minutes than fall into some of the things I mentioned. But as I have said before in other posts I have places here, I can only speak for myself. I hope this sheds a little light to your question.

After I establish a relationship, I often use texting because it is efficient and less intrusive. As it turns out, many of the providers that state "no texting" will allow guys to do so once there is an established relationship. I really don't think it has much to do with legal stuff, although technically that is true.
