I don't really want to repeat on what I've said many times before. Whatever talent that is arriving lately has been the extra ripe and its mainly left overs. In his case at least, he said the importer drives up the price and bookers can either pass it on or cut into their commission. Veteran mongers may have a different take.

The first one being that they purposely make the room dark and red to hide their flaws. Second being that most mongers usually focus on the face then on the parts that we like most.
