The suggestion that wage increases are comparable to price increases was the one that I showcased was pretty bad.
No one argues that inflation doesn't exist, but using it as a blanket excuse doesn't really work on people who can do basic math.

Get this. It's not even a brand new corolla! It's a used one or even the same corolla as before, used up with a lot of mileage on it. Cum stains deeply ingrained in the fabric of seats, transmission that has seen better days and the engine barely passing a smog check.
It might have gotten a somewhat ok-ish paint job and got new headlights, but a new coat of paint can hardly hide the fact that it isn't a brand new car anymore.

I can only conclude that there is sufficient volume of paying customers to make it lucrative enough to overcome any associated negative effects.
While I can stomach number one, I abhor number two and fervently wish for it's demise. But I know that is an unlikely outcome at this point. The attraction of guaranteed BBFS, even at a premium, appears to be just too strong for LA / OC mongers. And if BBFS upcharges stay so do the others.
