None of that is going to help a provider anyway. What they want are references from other providers or hobbyists that she knows and trusts. This is very difficult in the beginning of your hobby life, but we've all had to do it. Joining a verification service is one way many hobbyists get started, but that requires giving up some personal info, unless you get vouched by a couple providers or hobbyists who are already members. So if you already have seen a couple gals, your reference list has started. But overall, starting is kind of like the chicken-or-the-egg thing. Many gals won't see you if you don't have refs, but you can't get refs if you can't see any gals.

It takes time of course. You probably wouldn't need any ref's with your status here, but you never know. Newbies would probably have to find a gal who allows newbies, and start from there. Most of us probably owe some nice provider quite a bit for letting us start somewhere.

[/QUOTE]First, for the record, my first appointment in the internet age was made in no small part because I *did* use my real name, allowing the woman in question to know that I was who I claimed to be. I'm not necessarily recommending this; we're talking fifteen years ago, I have a very, very low profile on the internets to this day, and she was a top-flight provider. On the other hand, my barber, my auto mechanic, and the grocery store all know my name, and when I use a credit card they know a helluva lot more, and I trust them less than I trust a decent provider.
