It is illegal to advertise a massage in the state of New York if you are not a LMT. It is a felony if you get caught, that is why most girls advertise body rubs instead. As far as anything sexual in nature is also illegal. That is why they get busted.
You are exactly right! If someone is NOT an LMT and advertises "Massage" it's against the law. L. Licensed, M. Massage, T- Therapist.
Licensed as in trained, educated, and licensed to practice in the state of New York.
Body rubs are NOT illegal unless (as said below) there is sexual nature involved.
A gal can get in trouble with body rubs even if she is NOT doing anything sexual because she is earning money and not paying taxes.

I actually needed a massage, but I also felt dirty from the long hot day so wanted to start with a nice table shower. I should have went with my instincts and the tried and true 1760 spa. I've had good luck there and I love their table shower. But not in character at all, I was feeling like TOFTT. I did a scan of BP and how fortunate, there was a "Grand Opening" advertised; we never see that do we? They advertised "Shower Service". I wasn't completely confident but I gave a call. No answer. As an Albany boy, I am amazed by how many AMPs there are in the area now (especially in that neighborhood and downtown). Like six or seven of them at last count and, all joking aside, the massage has to be good to enjoy the experience. Glad to hear that part was good, the one I got at 40 Colvin was really good.

Went by on Friday. Looks like it's been shut down by the town. The space cannot be occupied by order of the town. Scratch 3610 off your lists. It was an OK set up with professional tables and really good service. But could just as easily have been a gypsy operation. Hopefully they are not closed permanently. Some other options in the area: Everett road, 1760, and Sun spa across from the TU center are good. As always, YMMV. REPORT BACK?
