I'm totally in the same boat. I live in the "boondocks" and have to travel anytime I feel the urge to hobby. And it is definitely frustrating when, after traveling 1, 2, or more hours ONE-WAY, to hear the proverbial crickets. Because I've already got Drive time and fuel invested, I, too, spend lots of time hanging out in my car waiting. One thing I don't do, though, is hang out in my car in Hotel parking lots! That just looks suspicious. I always find a big retail place, like a Wal-Mart or Home Depot or something. Also allows me to use the bathroom without attracting attention.

And, like you guys, these experiences have made me appreciate the professionals in the Huntsville area. It is so nice, and very much appreciated, when the lady is ready right when I arrive!
