I just noticed that the Adult Entertainment Expo is going on during my trip to LV. Has anyone had any experience with this convention, is it worth picking up a day pass to attend the parties? Seems like providence.
Isn't the AVN ticket to get in like 300 bucks?
Fuck that.
Isn't the AVN ticket to get in like 300 bucks?
Fuck that.
$325 is for the 'ultimate AVN tour' ticket, VIP pass is $100. Pit pass is $35. You can attend different venues for less. For photos ops with the porn stars, some don't mind spending that. There will be more than 300 porn stars and thousands of want to-bees in town. Every year there are 10 times more escort providers during AVN convention, so watch for deals and some of these porn stars are available for 2K and up, but there will be some starting at $$$ and up. This year they are separating the AVN with CES which starts today, they are expecting crowd of 140,000. I'll be starting to look out for porn star deals just about NOW. It was a blast for me last year with flood of providers mixing with CES geeks.
AVN is Jan 18 to 21.

DJP
Thanks for the heads up! I was actually scared to death me and my friend are making a mistake going to AVN and still hoping for action. I thought with so many "open minded" people in town, every last girl would be booked up months in advance. Meanwhile agencies I've contacted don't even seem to mention the AVN. So am I hunting in the wrong places? How does one find out about these. Deals on stars starting $$$? Where should I focus my attention? First time for me this year, and I'm stressed about the risk of missing out! Haha

Fuck that.
One day party tickets started at $50 and that was for 3 parties.

DJP
When in LV, you won't need to worry about finding girls at a reasonable rate, if you keep away from agencies. The agencies here will upsell you by hundreds of dollars, will send a different girl (bait-and-switch) , and then manyl of the girls won't even have sex, and agency girls don't have reviews. Just stick to independent girls with reviews on sites such as this one or on lvfever. Agency and scam girls will not give you a flat or all-inclusive rates, and will not let you meet the girls in the lobby. If you call and can't get a flat rate, or even if the girl is GFE, hang up, hang up, hang up (get it?). Never use the yellow pages or street vendor crap in Las Vegas.
I am getting ready for Vegas and wanted to see what the board would recommend for the best place for getting a steak dinner. It doesn't have to be on the strip either. I will have wheels and do not care about the price. Mind you most expensive does not always equal best.

Expensive but SO worth it.

Enjoy.
I've tried a few of the "best" and none really blew them all out of the water.
Prime at Bellagio is probably my first choice.
Surprisingly The Steakhouse at CircusCircus is really good. Especially when you consider it's a good bit cheaper than some of the other optioms.
When I was in town all the time about 10 yrs ago developing a resort East of Vegas, The Golden Steer was awesome. I understand it is not what it used to be, but it was good and old school. Have tried a few, loved Smith and Wollensky's and the one in Palazzo. That Itallian guy from the Food Channel runs it.
BTW, the side dish at S&W Mac & Cheese with truffle oil is freaking awesome!

Best steak I've had is Emeril's DelmonicoatVenetian. Get the bonein ribeye.
