Unless they get caught up in a major felony (like Winter and Emily's sister), they aren't doing any real time. Hardly enough to even detox, so they'll be back out on the haunts quickly. Some have moved out of the zone (Amanda for example) but work the phone instead of walking. Many have succumbed to habit related health issues (blown heart valves and whatnot).

Likewise, I don't think there's been enough captain save-a-ho interventions, except for a small handful, and most of those don't last unless they're shipped out of state. It's difficult for these girls to resist the addiction and quick $$, for minimum wage and a bed in a 1/2-way house.

I think the LEO interaction in the scene, has been in taking out the trap houses. Someone asked me how I find chicks in any town I go to: 1 - look for Martin Luther King Blvd 2 - where's there's bro's, there's ho's (that's where the dope is). Been called racist for this observation but, I don't MAKE the rules, I just KNOW WHAT THEY ARE! Losing Meats by pwrline and Disco / Onion by the red & whites has quieted the scene down immensely.

Not saying that a few haven't gotten clean and out for the game, just the number of fatalities outnumber the retirements. One girl I ran into yesterday told me SarahF (in a wheelchair lately) and Sunshine, have been lost in recent days.

My addiction to the hobby has calmed down considerably, so I'm not spending hours (and gallons of fuel) everyday cruising out there. The few times I see walkers, they're either few and far between. Most known quantities are either bad skills, or too shot out to let in the car (let alone bring home).

My DB contact in lauderdale reports about the same there too. Very dead out there, though not due to LEO's chasing them or arresting them. Still seeing regular arrests and stings out of hollywood, but I never bother going down there (unfamiliar territory and heavy LEO presence), so the scene is alive and well down there, just not worth the ride and risk.

I've been in this game from both sides of the street down here, since I'm a teenager (mid-70's). It never goes completely away, and the volume changes with the current drug of choice. Since EVERYTHING seems to be laced with fent lately, attrition looks like the biggest factor in the dry spell.

My observations. YMMV.

I've mongered in many a cities in the US of A and I'll tell you when you see the bulldozers and survey crews, expect the area to dry up. Police will always do their quarterly raids when they want to boost their stats to justify budgets that give tanks to vice squads, but when the developers want to put up condos in the projects expect the police to really start pushing d-boys and the girls out the area. Then theres the internet. Some of the girls have figured out they post on EB and make the same amount in one shot off some unsuspecting sucker than from walking half the day. That's why you see all this "car date" bullshit.

You would think, being she is one of the few remaining girls on that side, plus having a stellar reputation for her oral skills and not being a rip-off, that she would try and keep a phone running. Like what's $40 a month to not have to go out and stroll. But NOOOOOooooo. I know priorities are to stuff the syringe, but it'd be much more efficient to do so, working off a phone. I cannot confirm or deny this but I was told that Sunshine passed away from an overdose a couple days ago can anybody confirm that.

That was last Sunday on my way through there talent scouting.

The dope out there is pretty bad, and from what I hear, it takes more than 1 narcan to bring people back. Those that make it to the hospital end up on narcan drips more often than not.

I'm hearing about this in the recovery community almost every day now. It's a sad way to go out.

It seems that with every day another girl gets busted or odie's we just don't know what it keeps on happening a lot of girls are now turning to list crawlers or to a sort of Backpage I know about five or six of them to switch to that and about two to three that just OD'd it seems that there are people like summer that's now in jail and others like amanda That is still out on the street but others like Darlene and Kelsey and a couple more that have moved on to list crawlers getting themselves off the street and a little bit cleaner than they used to be even though I see some of these girls still out on the street here and there it seems like they're trying to improve their lives I applaud them very much and wish them the best of luck but in the end Pompano has gone down the toilet with the talent that they have out there.

I caught her one day about 8 months ago on Oakland Park Blvd. Picked her up in a McDonalds parking lot. She had a map to a dope house and asked if she was near it.
