I haven't been able to check the board for a couple of weeks, and I saw the exchange about why DC has so few good places any more. I have to agree with Sleazebum. The establishments charge what they want, and we pay it. How about the places I read about in Maryland that are NOT full service, (maybe Virginia too) that have older providers giving mediocre service, and charge $70 (plus tip)? Guys keep showing up and paying the bill. If the DC spas that are still open decided to raise the rates, we would pay it, because it's that or nothing.

I really believe it is the environment here that has caused the change. It is a combination of things. A new mayor and police chief probably have something to do with it. I think a big factor might also be the changing of neighborhoods. As neighborhoods gentrify, the new residents don't want these kinds of establishments in their backyards. So they complain, and who wants to deal with all the time.

Another factor, I think, is just the development that has been going on in DC. Some of the buildings are bought to be knocked down and replaced by a different kind of building.

I agree with Sleazebum that if the bottom line is $160, that is what I will pay. We are not being cheap if the rate is not raised. What, should we go in and offer more money? Does anyone think that will attract younger, hotter girls? Or, to put it another way, for anyone who thinks the hot girls are gone because we are cheap, if hot girls showed up at a spa and wanted $200, or even $250, do you think for a moment we wouldn't pay? On the contrary, from the posts I've seen, guys seem to be itching to spend some cash on hot talent. What does that say?

I think the reasons that things have dried up around here have nothing to do with what we are willing to pay, because this is a pretty affluent area, and I'm sure that we would pay the going rate, whatever it may be.

It's pretty funny how there's constant denial of the obvious and an effort to try and fabricate all sorts of elaborate reasons as to why DC is the way it is. The fact of the matter, as stated many times before over the past few years is that [b][u]$$$[/b][/u] is the bottom-line.

I've already stated in the past that the way to get better quality is to make sure the "quality girls" make money. The two easiest ways to do this is: [b]1)[/b] Spread the word through reviews instead of trying to keep her your little secret. [b]2)[/b] Give her a tip.

Did you know that in New York, $200 is the normal rate? But the girls still only get $100, just like in DC? But you know why there are hotter girls working in New York, despite the fact that the AMPs there get shut down every couple of weeks? Because the customers there tend to leave a nice tip for the nicer girls. It used to be that hot girls from New York would come down to work in DC because they could make as much money, if not more, while not having to deal with the amount of LE, drug addicts, and robberies that they did in New York. Now, the only reason girls come down from New York is because they're too ugly to work in New York.

Meanwhile, too many people are still trying to fix the prices by saying: If you see an old and ugly grandma at the Chinese Condo, give her $160. If you see a lackluster girl at a DC AMP, give her $160. If you see a hot girl at a DC AMP who gives good service, give her $160. And considering the DC AMPs tend to work on a turn system, meaning they try to give each girl the same number of customers, there's no way the hot girl can make more money than the lackluster girl if everyone just tries to keep it at $160 because they're afraid of "inflation".

The same old nonsense about trying to keep the prices down has been argued for the past couple of years, and just like I predicted, DC is a complete shithole now. I went to 1818 and the girl I saw was fat and ugly. I went to Star and the girl I saw was pretty damn ugly.

But I'm sure it'll still be the same old "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" schpiel. The one saving grace is that DC is a little bit more recession-proof than other areas around the country so maybe more generous customers will come who will tip the hot girls enough to create an influx of hot girls.

However, there needs to be a hot girl with a whole string of hot girl friends to get this influx started. Unfortunately, the only reasonably good looking girl that I know of was Vicky at Star but I know she doesn't have many friends because she's new to the whole AMP thing due to the fact she previously worked for American escort agencies, and I'm not even sure if she is still even in DC.

I agree Chaz. I have seen talent go up an down here with the going rate of $160. RM and a few others have been trying to raise the price for quite some time. If you have money to burn just do an escort. There are some super fine college age escorts out there for the right $$$.

Like you say, in VA you will spend $1.2 - $1.4 for a HJ from an provider that should be the Ajima. The extra money here definitly does not draw better talent.

Nobody is trying to raise prices. People ((((members)))) here have complained about fat and ugly providers. Not the standards we were accustomed to prior to September 2006. For many here the debates about your paying $.60 for something that can't even get a job in another city ((((that's a fact)))). Some are obviously okay once the ASS is in the air just hit it. Others here enjoy the hobby. It's the same in any way of life. You can keep going to the store and buying the day-old bread it's your choice and your money. For me I'll pay more for the warm shit straight out of the oven.

If you want to go and tip one of the AMP girls a lot of cash then go for it!

If you are so flush with cash then please do whatever you think you can to draw the better talent into our area.

As for me, I am a poor civil servant, as well as a tightwad and a proven Cheap Charlie so I will pay the going rate at the time I go.

For now, and until I hit one who expects more, I will take only $160 into the place with me in order to remain frugal about it all. If she wants more than that I will promise to bring enough the next time to make up the difference and I WILL do exactly that.

In the meantime let's let Mister Big Bucks throw around all the cash he feels like throwing around and let the more frugal of us remain so.

This entire argument is just silly and not worth the effort we are spending on it! Nothing you say in here will influence what I do. So save your energy!

Anyway, that quote applies to me too. I'm not going to try and convince anyone to do anything. I'm just pointing out that people who make up excuses about this and that are just plain wrong. Why they refuse to believe that it's about the $$$ for these girls is just mindboggling. Next you'll be telling me these girls used to work in DC because they were interested in government and politics.

The fact of the matter is that there has been a pretty steady decline in quality over the past few years, with the only nice quality place having been Supra in late summer until fall of 2007 when they got a new owner. Unfortunately, the old owner saw the increased business there and performed a hostile takeover and that was that.

In 2007, we had "above average" girls working in DC. Certainly, not the excellent girls we had prior. In 2008, we had "average" girls working in DC. In 2009, we now have "below average" girls working in DC. I've pretty much given up on the DC area and only use it as the very last option. Don't be surprised if next year we have even uglier and older hags working, and we're all sitting around here still scratching our heads wondering where all the quality went.

I mean, we already have Bebe having such excellent reports despite not having gotten much fanfare in the past few years she's been here. We saw Rose get excellent reports despite being a little bit older than what used to be the norm in DC. Hell, we saw NANA get excellent reports despite looking like a transvestite with thighs so muscular they could probably crush the skull of a wild bison.

For the DC regulars, check out the Maryland or Virginia boards and look at the girls who get 8's and 9's and 10's for their looks. Then actually go and visit those girls and you'll be wondering, "What the fuck? How did she get rated so high?" The same thing's happening here.

I expect that like in the past when you agree or disagree with a position the last word of the opposing group is that you wil be called an a..hole. But that is the norm for this forum, when you take a stand that may differ from someone else, and once they are out of valid arguments they revert to name-calling. Irregardless of this childplay, I still have to agree with Sleazebum as I also feel strongly that the current prices are just right. If you look hard enough you can get find real nice latina and asians locally in suitable surroundings at a reasonable price. On the other hand, I remember when the area was abound with spinners and porn stars you could be shuffled out of an establishment in 15 minutes. That was no bargain, and you don't need a spiffy computer model to figure this one out. Did those same economic geniuses with the flawed business models predict the recession we are in now?

Funny enough, I was thinking about "economic geniuses" too, except I was drawing similarities between people like you ("THE PRICES ARE FINE") with the "geniuses" saying things like "THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE US ECONOMY ARE STRONG" and "KEEP BUYING BEAR STEARNS".
