The only hole in this story, that sign on the window looks pretty official. Forging a Section 108 Health and Safty sign seems like a far stretch when simply turning off the Open sign and locking the door would work just fine.

Seems like the Florida events just put the boots to the fire for the surrounding states. Like I said earlier it may be time to cool it for a while. Better safe than sorry.

From observations in other states while traveling and from fellow members, there is a bit of Massage license checks going on. The authorities need to show they are doing something and it's not totally unreasonable that they should have the correct permits and license.

What happened in Florida from Uncle LEO was possibly legally questionable. With Mr. K being charged, we can be sure that legal his team will be better than OJ's dream team. Combining Mr. K's dream team and questionable law methods, it's possible our Florida based uncle LEO could be under a lot of heat, possibly regretting their actions. I'm not seeing any touchdown dances by LEO or prosecutors anymore.

If Mr. K's situation plays out unfavorably for Uncle LEO, that would set a legal precedent and other departments across the country might use as a guideline of things-to-do and not-to-do.

What goes on in our area is nowhere near what was happening in Mr. K's neighborhood. There is a huge difference right there.

No one wants to risk trouble with the law, least of all the clients. I suppose this mood of gloom and fear will have a temporary impact on spas everywhere but I'm guessing it will only be temporary.

Caught the news today and the story about Jupiter's AMP video surveillance, Looks like it was ruled illegal, and non-submisable in court.

I concur. Not just Zen but others I'm laying staying low as well. The risk / reward I'm not willing to take and right now the risk want be worth it for everything I got going on right now. Last time I've seen multiple AMPs close down and raided was actually a few years ago from the capital city. However they all came from the same county Lexington but I believe it was when they got a new sheriff. Those places have opened back up from posts I've seen and from passing by while up there but they weren't the same like before the were closed down. I'm not sure what's going on but it's enough to have me cautious. All I have to say is be careful don't want to read about anyone in the paper or see anyone on TV LOL.

There is something I don't understand. LE said thet talked to patrons coming out the AMPs and were told they got HE / FS. And that is how they got cause for a warrant to put cameras in. WHY WOULD ANYONE TELL LE THEY GOT ANYTHING BUT A MASSAGE? Am I I missing something, they are admitting guilt? Just seems strange to me IF THAT REALLY HAPPENED OR WAS MADE UP. Looking at southern Florida they are getting close to normal offering FS again which you don't see much of here.

If they were undercover, well I have been asked from time to time (generally by golfers or others I take to be 2 sheets to the wind) if a place is "good". I presume they are trying to avoid "legitimate" shops.

Of course I never say anything substantive and break contact quickly. Maybe others try to be more helpful?

And guys, even if you are innocent and just looking for a good place -- don't talk to anyone coming out of an AMP: we don't like it, and it's against AMP etiquette.
