Massage Therapy Kingston Pike.
First, I've been a lurker here for quite some time and posted under another username. Unfortunately, I forgot that email / password and have re-registered.
I had been to Massage Works, off Kingston Pike, next to Qdoba right when it first opened. It wasn't anything spectacular, so I had no desire to return. Until, the recent post describing blatant teasing and self-service. I decided to give it another shot, why not?
Pros: clean / heated table, closed door, masseuse was somewhat pleasant (I'd rather not hear sighing more than once, but whatever), fairly loud music (can't hear much and can't be heard), bare-ass face-down massage, and there was some weird 'rain-drops' all around my junk thing she did to somewhat stimulate me. I can only assume that if she had a queue to start servicing myself, that was it.
Cons: You got to do a little more than raindrops, lady. I'm talking about glancing-off the junk. I can get more glancing-off at other places in the area. This massage was simply mediocre.
Which is fine. I'll take a mediocre massage over a crappy one any day. It was her attitude, when I only gave her a $5 tip, that compelled me to write this post. 90 minutes here is $95 which is a little above the norm for this area. Did I have another $20? Sure. Was I going to give her a $25 tip? No. Was I going to play the game and ask if she could break a $20? No.
So, when she realized she had been given a $5 tip, she called me back and proceeded to tell me "$10 at least. " When I told her that's all I had, she said "That's the last time for $100" and waved the cash at me as she walked away. What the hell, lady? Are you expecting I will come back and shower you with a huge tip to make up for being such a dirt-bag? Of course not, I'll never be back.
Maybe I was a dirt-bag for giving her a $5 tip for 90 minutes. I didn't feel bad at all though. I think maybe I've become jaded and need to start considering giving up this hobby for good. My wallet will thank me, I'm sure.
