I keep distances between me other cars, especially at lights or stop signs with traffic so I room to cut an emergency you-turn. When I stop I give my self extra stopping distance if possible and try to initiate early stops by tapping the brake pedal to pulse my brake lights as I begin to stop. My last trip to the ave months ago the driver of the car behind me at a light decided to blow some clouds during the stop and the car started rolling forward. I pulled up into the extra space I left for my self and his car veered to the right and hit the curb and went on the sidewalk. If I didn't have the space to move forward he would have hit me. Whenever the urge to make a run to the ave hits I read here and remember the close calls and find something else to scratch the itch. It is getting harder though. Something about that hunting and finding the gem and / or bargain. It like hunting, gambling and kink all rolled into one. I say it all the time but its kind horrifying that I find myself wishing for the good old days of the crack epidemic of the 80's and 90's.

I had a situation where a guy came up to my parked car with a baseball bat. He demanded money, I drove away, he took out windows. Thank god for insurance.

I really wish I'd gone to police. I was too embarrassed.

If she was in on it she could have won an acting award she didn't have her shoes or coat on and she was panicking, yelling to go, crating and shaking when we finally got out of area we sat in the car for at least 20 minutes for her to calm down she was going to take the le home I told her to call someone and I would take her to wherever they were so she did and I dropped her off by house of her friend she called couldn't see someone taking public transport after something like that.

We're not going to be in a good position to fight. We're off guard. We're probably embarrassed and don't want to involve police. Many are married and don't want wives to know. I doubt the police are overly sympathetic to a John getting robbed.

I have had stuff happen to me in the past and when it does I go home, wait a day or two then do a mission debrief. I look at what I did and what were likely the contributing factors to the bad situation. What I found is that IF I can get out of the 'self cloud' and see an objective view, then I can find places to improve.

For me "the rules" have always been a guide, so I don't have to relearn what others have experienced. I like to build on those.

Now not being critical of anyone, but here is what I see from what was written. Just trying to get my head around how this happened?

If it was a place the girl directed a dude to, then it was a set up. As the rules and others have said, never go to the spot the girl selects. Alternatively, perhaps one was observed making the scoop and followed? That would suggest more discreet methods. Finally, "went to a popular spot" Hmmm. I guess if a lot of dudes use that spot and girls or people in the area know about it then it isn't a safe place. Point is the streets are wiser than any of us will be. So pick your own spot. Oh and make sure you have an escape route, I. E. Don't parallel park in a tight spot, park headed out, be able to go right or left as well as forward or back.

I like to hide in plain sight. Around back of a business is likely to be monitored by cameras or if seen by LE attract attention. But parking in a lot with other cars draws no attention, unless security knows exactly the cars in the lot and the one you are in is extra.

Again, sorry for the bad experience. There are many ways to play the game. Don't let one experience hold you back, review the situation, figure out what you could do differently and learn from it and become a better monger.

Picked up Ashley last night near the 7-11. Dyed red hair but looks like natural dirty blonde down below. Most quiet girl I have ever picked up. She is 23 and says and seems to be relatively new to this. A bit overweight but performed well. Plays with herself while you are inside and didn't object to me finishing there either. Not the most animated but clean clothes and normal appearance overcame that.

You will find people get shot everywhere in broad daylight or under the cover of darkness. It does not matter. Not to mention there will be 50 onlookers that get a sudden case of blindness and amnesia. Not that many can see that well or have the clearest minds in the first place. So that blows that daylight safety factor right out of the water.

That idea of being safe during daylight hours is the biggest myth perpetuated on this board. The only thing daylight might offer is one can better see what's coming at them and the people standing around watching it happen. It has nothing to do with the time of day. It's where we are that puts us at risk. Get that ingrained in our heads and we take a step toward safety.

Thugs don't give two shits who see them do anything. That umbrella has a lot of holes in it. They have their own laws and the cops are as much afraid of them as you are. The only time in Kensington they rush is after the crime happens. Or when fresh donuts are done. The guns, clubs, and fools are as real as it gets out there. Those that don't understand that or believe that have no business being in the area. To think for a moment daylight hours offer any level of safety is step one toward stupidity. Picture Kensington as a minefield. At any moment day or night something can happen without warning.

One spot that is an open market on people in this game is Buckius to Jasper from Pike to Kensington on Jasper. You are asking for trouble there. That is and always has been a prime area for thugs to lay in wait. They put girls out there knowing stupid guys will step right into that shit knowing it's there. If there's one place to avoid on the strip, I would say that is the number one spot. There have been easy pickings there for girls and thugs for as long as I can remember. Every few months somebody gets held up there because they picked door three when they should have picked door one. That's the ones we hear about. Now, I doubt the thugs take a hiatus. How many people just lick their wounds and don't say anything?

If I can offer one bit of strong advice it's this. Find a place that feels safe. Recon that spot at various times of the day or night. That will give a pretty good idea of the activity level there. If possible, park so one side of the vehicle is inaccessible and you can see what's coming toward you or behind you and from the open side. While there NEVER SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN. That way if you need to leave in a hurry, you can without restarting the car. Let that be your toilet paper should shit happen. You are the only one you can depend on out there. Good luck![/QUOTE]Excellent advice. The only way to be safe is to listen to those that have been in similar situations. Listen to how they handled the issue. What worked for them. Have dry runs. Position ourselves in a mock scenario so we can understand what can go wrong and the safest way to get away from an issue. It's much easier to understand what can go wrong if we practice for various situations.

I have found that many people go to the playground with no other objective but to score then leave. In theory that would be ideal. We all know we don't live in an ideal world. You and I see these people all the time. They almost crash into each other trying to make a pickup. They become totally oblivious to what's going on around them. They have that get that BJ mentality and throw safety to the wind.

Many haven't a clue what to do when faced with adverse conditions. It's for no other reason than being ill-prepared. It is our responsibility to others on the field playing the game to help them focus more on safety than the score. The choices are obvious. Play safe or be the next news headline. Then she got sickly thin, started to avoid picking her up. I ran into her at Wawa while I was with my wife, she kept saying shit to me while I was acting like I had no idea who she was. Question for the team. Prior to Covid, I came to the city of Brotherly Love at least once a month on business. Spent a lot of time either on the K stroll or the Camden B-way strolls. Unfortunately, have not been there since February 2020.

However, I have been occasionally watching the many street videos taken of K street. There are a couple takeaways from those videos:

1. There are not many streetwalkers.

2. Most of the girls that you do seen are Xylazine / Fentanyl zombies.

I for one will never pick up a zombie. Had a heroin one fall nod off on me and I had to baby sit her for a couple hours before I could get her awake enough to get out of my car. Never again. However, I did notice a decrease lately in the standing zombies. Seems there are fewer now than just a couple months ago. Less Xylazine on the street?

Anyhow, here is my main question: Before Covid, I found some of the better finds in a couple spots where I have not seen the Youtube guys frequent, such as off-K spots like Jasper St. Are the streets as dry of workers as the videos show?

But I have been traveling for business (same as you) so on occasion, I will ride up K Ave and explore its nooks and crannies in search of some action. Some nights, it's damn near impossible to find anything, other nights its flush with available choices (and its important to note, when I say available choices, I mean a girl that you could stroll into the Cherry Hill Mall and people won't notice that she is a SW) Doesn't have to be great looking or a great body but clean clothes and some semblance of daily hygiene is my bare minimum.

I would say its trending up as of late. I might be that old foggy that remembers the good ol days and I don't think K Avenue has returned to pre Covid days but not all is lost to the monger with more than a little patience and is willing to put in some recon work prior to pick up. K Ave will always have its share of zombies, that will probably never change but there is a gold nugget out there every once in awhile. First things first. Most of the Youtubers if you notice don't record the walkers for whatever reason unless they seem to be on the tenth story of a four-story building. They just don't do it. Darned if I can figure out the message they are trying to convey. If you notice most of the Spielberg wannabes tend to focus on the drugs, the trash and the addicted in the line of their lens. They drive the same routes over and over and don't really focus on much else. They tell no real story and they offer little to no narrative. No insight at all on those videos. There are a few that will interview a walker off and on but that's to assist the numbers for their Tube channel. That in itself becomes self-focused. Take a look around and you see no stars in the sidewalk on the boulevard of lost dreams. Just not there.

It's the same repetitive stuff over and over. Very few actually focus on the streetwalker while she's attempting to grab work. Nor do they focus on what the walker does after she makes her drug money. Like where she goes to grab or where she hangs out between booster shots.

It's important to remember once the girl gets her funding, she considers herself done work for the next three or four hours. She clocks out and heads for La La Land. Then the hamster cage rolls again in the same direction she took last time she got a date.

Another important aspect for those looking for the players is the games have no set schedule. The players go out when they feel the need and once the need is met, they are finished. It's not like strolling is their favorite pastime.

I have spoke with dozens on this forum. The thing most have in common is they say, Damn I wish I could find this girl or that girl again. They can't because they returned to where they found her and about the same time but she's not there. They just got lucky and was in the right place at the right time. That's all it takes.

There is no good or bad time to visit. It all comes down to the right time. The right time when the girl feels she can do what needs to be done. The right time for us to be where she is.

It can be dead as a funeral parlor at one moment and the same time tomorrow be so busy you need to take numbers and get in line. If somebody tells you this or that time is best, they are feeding you what you want to hear. Simply not true.

Some may feel when people are on their way to work or on the way home from work is the best time. That's because they have had success at those times before. Not sure how many on here have seen what happens when a block decides to pass out samples. Two things take place. There is a massive pilgrimage to the spot that has the free dope. Everyone from blocks around head to that spot. The second thing that happens is once the free dope is passed around, we won't see any girls for a few hours again. They have what they need so till that wears off they will be nodding out.

There are plenty of girls around out there. Finding them is the challenge. Just like all else, everyone has various tastes. Are those choices what we all would like? Of course not. Realistically somebody finds them to be their twist for sure. Otherwise, they would not be there now, would they?

All in all, time of day or night does not factor much at all. There are many other things that factor into the location and the number of girls out. As I said their own schedule is in itself the number one factor. The free samples, the concentration of LEO, is it vice day, what crimes take place in the immediate area all play a major role.

I am sure there are lots of us former road warriors that have been grounded for a year and a half that are thinkin the same thing.

I often forget that identifying working girls sometimes takes a skill that we possess that many non-mongers overlook. About 3 years ago I was in Vegas for a convention, a group of co-workers and I were walking thru the casino late after dinner one night heading to the elevators for the night. The issue here is many guys want to find a girl but will downright refuse to put in the necessary work to get the gem they want so much. That may be due to time restraints or plain wanting others to do the legwork for them. Hence returning to the videos trying to find what's just not there. There seems to be a lot of that going on here. They find themselves on the same corners looking at the same people doing the same thing day after boring day. Some tend to settle for Toothless Jenny, Scabby Ashley, or NASA Sally. Many of those girls a normal guy wouldn't pick up in a hearse on a gurney. Yet there are those that find them to be their dream girl.

Others come here and tell a tale of woe saying there's nobody out but Zombies. Go figure. Granted the Zombies do make up a huge part of the clientele without doubt. There are other options. Kensington Ave is not the only shop open. Don't be fooled. I've always said the side streets can be a goldmine and nuggets are available for those that take the time to do what needs to be done. Taking boring noninformative You tube videos is not one of those tasks.

We have guys right on this forum that try to offer the best advice and tips of what works, how, when and where things work. Between these people there are years upon years of experience. Most never used a You tube video to accomplish their goals and probably never will. In the words of John Houseman, they do things the old-fashioned way.

For those that tend to think all is lost because they didn't find their desired choice don't give up. Nobody hits a home run every time at bat. Not me or anyone. When at bat there is knowledge to be gained by just getting out there and observe what's going on around us.

Every time I get to the playground, I tend to refuse at least three choices for any number of reasons. I'm a normal guy like most here, no Don Juan. I like to feel I have choices and I'm not limited to what I see around me. I look for the girl others are dying to find. The elusive, proverbial unicorn. She's out there, every day. She's there all hours. Just a matter of finding her. She's not available just to me. She's there for the first person that finds her. Then when her shift is over, she blends back into the shadows of regular life. There are a dozen guys just like me that play the same game.

One thing I found that works well for me is to never appear like I'm looking for pussy. That seems to put up walls where there was none. I try to be open to all available options. I'm not limited to just hookers. Nobody should be. Why close doors that may otherwise be open?

Getting back to the You tube videos. I don't know anybody that has found a playmate because of them. Yes, I know those that have met and dated a few that have appeared in them. Just to actually use the videos to find one seems like a lost cause. Personally, I find many of the videos a huge waste of time and of little value. I have met a few of those interviewed. It appears as though the videos are a last-ditch effort to get business, they can't get walking.

Just my unasked-for opinion, if we use our charm and be a decent guy that will open a world that may previously have been closed. The interesting aspect of mongering is there is no right or wrong way short of abuse and violence. No perfect time slot. Because whatever approach is taken eventually will work on someone. Our goal is to get it to work on our choices not somebody else's left overs. Never give up. Know the reward may be closer than it appears. Me, I'm just an 'OL Gator.

Just the other day I found a packet of heroin in my car. A few years back, a needle under the seat. This could have lead to very bad consequences for me, personally and or legally. Why were you pulled over? Why was your car searched? Why were you really arrested?

Cops need reasons for these things and they'd rather not waste hours out of their life arresting someone over a needle.

1-If they DID pull you over, and search you for no reason as you are implying, the search was illegal.

2-Arrests take hours for them to process.

3-Cops know it is illegal to search without cause.

4-You can't be arrested from just a Needle.
