Everything has a political slant now so both sides have valid points. I go back to when the "leaders" were pushing fabric masks, I knew that was complete bullshit. I can't believe anyone in 2022 still holds onto the belief that a piece of cloth provides protection. Even the vaccines appear to be virtually useless. Especially ironic in a site such as this where activities and choices are 10 x more threatening.

My dad is an Ebola jumper (one of those doctors who, when there's an outbreak of Ebola somewhere in Africa, goes over there to help stamp it out). He thinks cloth masks help for Covid. Not as much as N95 or whatever, but helps in restricting transmission via snot globules. So, I follow his advice. Because he doesn't really have a political agenda with me not dying. And he's smart, and does shit where his own life is on the line.

The humanist in me weeps, but the cynical scientist in me laughs at the micro evolution of the science deniers dying because they don't get it.
