That is especially the case in CC where the advertised numbers are usually answered by "Mamasan" who receives calls for a group of girls and hands out appointments based upon availability and other criteria. The girl has to pay the "Mamasan" for the service being provided. When she gives you a different number, it is usually a number that she can receive directly so she can save a little money by not having to pay the "Mamasan".
