Google voice has worked for me. I uninstall every time and also use another email that I also delete when not looking. I never answer a call back from a provider. I only text. Nothing show on cell phone records. Seems ok for me so far. I don't see any drawback unless you answer a phone call.

I was too worried about apps, so I just use a burner phone. It's hidden in my work bag and if ever found, it's a work phone blah blah blah.
I used the burner number to establish emails and only access email through web (secret mode). Has worked for four years with no issues. Best Buy sells several options and you can buy minute and data cards there too. I just pay cash so nothing can be traced back.

Where I store all "secret" apps (LOL). So its like having 2 phones. My right hand finger sensor open regular phone apps. Left hand finger sensor open secure folder with other apps (I. E burner, SA) .
Also all the apps in secure / secret folder notifications are off. So even someone calls it won't ring. But once I open the folder I can see miss calls.

First sim is my regular phone. 2nd from my burner trac phone.
What I like is I can just disable the 2nd sim when not in use. No need to worry about incoming calls, texts and voicemails.
What I don't like. I have to be particular when dialing out as not to use my number.
Call history is on the phone / texts etc need to be manually deleted.
Not the best solution but it works for me.

I know Darby MILF, and IF Lexi is who I think she is, I have seen nothing to connect the two (not even similar habits). Therefore, I don't suspect a coordinated effort here. Even if they were connected, why you? I can't recall anyone reporting this kind of activity, so it seems anomalous.
My only theories are (A) in the heat of the confrontation you had a moment and mistook guy 2 for guy 1 (I would be a bit thrown off if someone approached me as I prepared to engage in criminal activity) or (B) a guardian angel was watching over you and kept you from putting yourself in harms way. These may be completely off base, but man, this is some weird shit. Glad you came out unscathed. What I would have done differently here -- if I have to wait to enter a residence, I wait at the nearest (reasonable) commercial establishment (sheetz, etc). That way you attract less attention.

Subject to these, I'd be fine with it. The challenge though, and key to the scam, will be D.

If possible (and usually is) and the girl is not someone I've done before, I park away and advise I'm there. A quick room number text makes me feel that stage 1 is legit. But it's still recommended to keep thinking with the big head moving to stage 2!
