I've seen a lot of yall not happy with the demographic of the site / game as of late and I have to say I'm with you and plan on not renewing my membership. I've struck gold over the past three years but as of late things seem to be getting worse. Women over valuing themselves, scammers, AI, and people not expecting meeting up being a requirement. It's a marathon, not a sprint. I posit that not many of us have the stamina to keep going at the same (or comparable) level year after year. Some of us don't need to keep going. Our well is full. So, yes, it's ok to take a break and come back. Sometimes we get forced breaks (like covid) and at other times we need to take manufactured breaks. Take some time off and put it into another passion that you've been ignoring. Your soul will thank you for it. And then maybe return with renewed energy. Or not.

So now there's a safety issue.

Is it a huge time sink? Yes, indeed. And not everyone has the time. But the huge investment is really needed if (like me) you like a lot of variety. If you're just looking for 2-3 reasonable regulars, that is easy as cake to find. Maybe my memory is faulty, but I've been doing this for long enough going back to SW and CL days and I think we tend to over-romanticize the past. Things have actually gotten WAY better! Also, we lose the energy to pursue the way we once did. The scammers are easy to identify and steer clear of. Finally, I never block anyone. There is no need to take extreme measures. I've had ladies throw huge numbers at me and I just wait them out. In a weak moment (planning a trip to Florida) they will agree to a more reasonable arrangement. But you need to be very organized. The number of times I've had fellow mongers ask me who I'm talking about when we've discussed her many times just causes me to shake my head. Keep a notebook (physical or electronic) otherwise you're toast in this game (or any game that you wish to take seriously). If you're impatient and looking for quick results (like I need something today or now) you're going to have a lot of failures. Play the long game and you will do well. I actually recommend having your primary profile, and a secondary burner login signup to see if a girl is still on the site / blocked you if you can't access via the primary.
3 reasons you can't see a profile:
- you blocked them.
- they blocked you.
- they deleted their profile

I'll address it in a playful question and responses I've received before are that they put it on there to avoid inbox bombing or "creeps" just looking for sex (LOL I mean we all are usually). Typically the ones who want a situationship have that mentality. Like the quote reads "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" so still recommend to send that message even if the bio is push offish and be playful and flirty. Worst case is you just learned some more messaging techniques.
