Not All ads without Phone numbers are scams.
These ads should go without saying that they are just scams. Any ad, ANY AD without a PH # is a scam.
Sadly some folks will email them.
I fell for this when I first started and I am STILL getting the occasional email from them to this day. They are trying to get me to click on a link.
Funny sheeeet mun.
Just wanted to let guys know that not ALL of the ads without phone numbers are scams. I usually post an ad without my number, because I prefer to give my number out once we establish that we are mutually a match. Usually in one or two emails. Its a great filter. If my first email from someone is "You're hot, how much to f*ck you b*reback and have you SW*llow my load, I will pay you any price for ba*reback s*x". Do I really want THAT guy to already have my number? He sounds like LE or some one with no manners or discretion. God knows what he would say on the phone. Goes in my DELETE file.
From previous experience, placing a number on an ad will invite guys to call you at ALL hours of the night, text constantly, and if for some reason there is not a match (Price, services, bad vibes etc) then they may feel rejected and crank call or harass you. Also LE PREFERS to make calls and record them when setting up stings, they generally don't like to email and wait for replies (and some for jurisdictional legal reasons will not email at all). In addition LE has compiled a database of numbers for "Known Escorts". The best and quickest way to get your number on the list is to have it posted and available to anyone.
And if all of that is not reason enough, LOL, there are various church groups who USED to troll Craigslist and flag "Prostitution" ads in the former erotic services, (and still go on M4M and flag all of the homosexual casual encounter ads, just check google on it for more info, its big in Virginia) but now have moved on to places like Backpage where they call escorts and offer them counseling, or make fake appointments and when you get the address it ends up being a church, women's shelter or police station. So just me personally, but I prefer to give my number out to the person I choose to make an appointment with, not everyone in the world, and posting your number on an ad is literally giving it to everyone in the WORLD via the internet. =) It is what works for me, but then again, I just do this part time.
As with everything, be careful, try to read between the lines, is it a generic ad that has been placed in every city on BP? Or does it have specifics to what city you are in, dates, places? If someone asks for a credit card or sends you a link to a dating site, that is a red flag. I sometimes send links to a review or ad, but never to somewhere you have to pay to see it.
Just my two cents, feel free to email me! Kisses.
