I hit this club once every few months and I never know what to expect from the dancers here. Last trip a few months ago I sampled about 5 different dancers for the cheap topless dances and every one of them came through or at least offered to. That was a first for me to encounter players across the board.

But you could also say rationally that you've got to have some give on account of the human psychology at play. We can sit back and wonder how businesswomen waste away their productive hours, but also think about how old, excruciating and just plain challenging to a girl's self-esteem it must be to make the rounds over and over only to be continually rejected and at best, have the same small talk and stupid conversations over and over with customers that won't even lead to any earnings so much of the time. Most of these women come to this business with self-esteem already on the critical list.

SoCal clubs are so stretched for talent that managers can hardly get away with enforcing rules that limits the prerogatives of quality girls enrolled at his club. These girls love their independence from the real work a day world and don't I envy them the independence they have. But damn I would not want to give ME a lap dance if I were born a hot babe.

I think clubs and the spirit of fun have been killed off by factors not relating to the economy. The main thing is the higher expectations for action from the customer base. So I think more and more guys don't look to spend big bucks in clubs, and take their serious action directly to Monger Blvd. MPs and escorts, et al. So I'd pick up the local paper at 7/11, the San Gabriel Tribune that has a coupon for free admission in the classifieds or sports section. No big deal but it's like picking up a $10 bill off the rack. Second, all regular dances are 2 for 1 at $40, but they run regular 3 for 1 specials so that's worth waiting for. Third, if you aren't independently wealthy, don't even think about getting talked into going to the VIP room. It is a preposterous ripoff. Decided to go by my old stomping grounds last night. And was quite disappointed. The pickings were slim and the mileage was low. Talked to a few girls, but ultimately settled on Starlet. Entered at 4:15. Guy at the door tells me there's a dozen girls. I laugh and say "vamos a ver" under my breath. Ready to switch from gabocho to latino mode. But dude isn't lying. Lots of girls, few customers, no girls on stage though. Last time I was there was about 4 months ago also on a weekend afternoon, and the very same girl who hung out at the turnstile looking for victims on the way in is there again. I think I'll get around it by starting out in the men's room, but as soon as I get a table she's on me.

She's won me over with pure personality and I think it's mutual. I don't think she'll put out Paradise style, but that's fine. She just needs to keep the package warm and interested. What doesn't work for me is that AFTER the dance she comes back to my table with me. This seems to be a common trait of Paradise dancers at least on slow Sunday afternoons. How's the Deb going to walk over if Isabel has surgically attached herself even after the point of profit has concluded?

Not too interested and I pass. Telling her to keep on doing what she's doing (NASCAR). Of course at that point her hand comes off the package and the rest of the dance is pretty much a pose. Completely worthless.

That's fine because I see The Deb is now sitting near the lap dance area talking to a guy but clearly has one eye on me at all times with that one eye following me back to my table. Here I am Deborah, come and get it! But no, Isabel has now returned to sit with me. GeeeeeeeeeeZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzuussssssss! The Deb leaves the guy and goes to a back table alone and lounges around bored and unpaid. WTF, I tell the wonderful Isabel that I actually came to see the Deb, and there she is available to be seen. And just as we offer our sweet parting words, the Deb is hooked up with yet another dude. I'm tearing at my 2 remaining hairs on my head pretty much ready just to head on to the new HT when the Deb gives up on her new mark and returns to her former lounging trance.

Now I am really blasting off from my position with Isabel, and walk up to the Deb. We SC pervs don't do enough of this kind of proactive SC hunting. We don't want to be harassed by every damn gorda in the bar, but neither do we actually want to go after the girl we want. Debbie knows why I'm there. Recalls our prior false starts and tells me she knows I was looking for her earlier but I was always with another girl. The fact that I have hunted her in multiple ways and over months of time plays well for me and she is freaking heavenly in our reintroduction and extensive table time. It would have been completed but my pleasure centers were not firing the ultimate ecstacy and could not have done so under any circumstances. So best to cut my losses and draw my sword another day.
