The bookstore is not, overall, my cup of tea either. However, the guys on this forum are interested in the relatively rare instances where there is a woman in the bookstore. Therefore, this thread still interests us. After all, this is, as Jackson has made very clear, a forum for males seeking sex with females. We shouldn't have to "seek threads more in keeping with (our) needs and tastes" when our needs and tastes and the intended subject material of this forum are one and the same. The gays made quite a fuss on the bookstore's original Yahoo group and have since pretty much gotten their way. We don't want to see the same thing happen here.

I'm not new to the scene, but I am new to the Chicago area and therefore new to the 15th St Bookstore. My impression from reading the yahoo group is that they really need two separate yahoo groups.

Put the gay guys on one group and the straight people on another. Everyone would be happier and us straight guys wouldn't have to wade through 15 gay messages to see one straight message.


I don't want to make waves since I'm new to this area, but it seems that there's been a lot of bickering in this thread. How about we all just agree to disagree and get back to reporting what's important -- when there's going to be straight action at the Bookstore!

If you are not comfortable with letting people feel free and express their wants and needs then don't go to 15th Ave. There are going to be lots of people there that you may not agree with. I went to 15th tonight (just got back). The mix was about 8-10 guys, 1 CD, and 1 female with a male friend.

The atmosphere in the theater was relaxed with no pushy guys (unlike the theaters I go to in Tampa where most of the guys behave like adolescents who have never seen a naked woman before).

The CD was playing with one guy who knew he was playing with a CD. There was no attempt at deception on his/her/its part.

The woman first screwed the guy she came in with. I thought it was over when he came, but instead he left the theater and said "Have fun guys"... (Him leaving would never have happened in Tampa because some of the guys in Tampa are real jerks -- it was nice to know that they were both comfortable with him being able to leave the theater for a while).

Several of us participated. I screwed her for a while and ended with a BBBJ (no CIM - she wanted it on her neck and chest instead).

Several of the guys were just watching. She took a few breaks and everyone behaved like respectable human beings. Now a conversation I had with the woman indicated that it wasn't always like that - sometimes the guys are neanderthals according to her.

This place was also the absolute cleanest theater I've ever been to.

There has been so much negative posted about 15th that I just had to post my positive experience.

Obviously YMMV and MyMMV depending on the night... It's definitely worth the time and it's definitely worth the $20 admission fee.

My "narrow point" was the only point Young Man and I were trying to make. I never said that gays are wrong for doing their homosexual behavior, but this is not the place for that. There are plenty of forums for the gay community. If I was to go on a forum that is set up strictly for gays and started discussing women, I would be wrong as well, and they would be well within their rights to tell me that I am not following the rules. If gays want to lurk on this board, I don't have a problem with that. Once they join, they agree to play by Jackson's rules and need to do so. If bi's want to come here and talk about hooking up with women, I don't have a problem with that either.

I don't have a problem with ANYONE as long as they respect my wishes and the rules of whatever community they choose to participate in. There are gays at the bookstore who respect other's wishes. I choose not to go to the bookstore because I don't want to deal with the guys who can't take "no" for an answer. "NO" means "NO," and that applies to the bookstore and it also applies to this forum.

Can we get back to reporting on straight action at the 15 ABS, please?
