It can and is a lot of work especially weeding thru the girls who think a conversation and a date night makes a SD / SB arrangement. I had one 20 year old that I met that had told her mom she was on it but assured her that it was just for going to dinner or a movie occasionally. When I told her that most guys are looking for something physical she was completely shocked.
Getting past these girls who think this way is work but you can find some diamonds in the rough.
I've found there's so many without the Platonic only on their profile that including them in my search is a waste.
It sucks when they don't use that tag in their post and they say that after you start chatting. I got lucky when a girl message me and we started a good conversation before I realized she had that in her tags. But when I asked her, she said she had left it on there without realizing and she was open to more than that. So I wouldn't recommend going after ones with that tag, there are some outliers.

Came across this one yesterday and went back and forth sounded very promising except she of course has no money in her bank account for an Uber to a public meeting spot near her. She requested money to her cash app or Venmo (I know, big red flag) so she could put in on her credit card to then afford an Uber. I provided alternatives to her but she was not budging, just curious if anybody has experience with her?

I had a text conversation with this one:

It was past midnight and she wanted to hook up.
Further conversation revealed she was a nursing student at Temple University.
She said lived alone but wanted to come up by me. I balked by saying I am working on my place and things are out of place.
So she said tomorrow would fine but she's hungry and hasn't eaten much. She wanted to know if I could put some $ on her card.
I offered to take her to a diner. I asked where is a safe place I can meet her so we can meet.
No answer. I called her. Two rings and was disconnected.
I thought this could be a guy scamming.
The website is full of scammers.

Thanks for the feedback. I have definitely noticed an uptick of scams but this one was a first. I'm addition so many ladies are unwilling to meet and only want to send pics and stuff. Maybe it is the time of the year, but getting more difficult to find the willing ladies.

The lady obviously reported you as you must have annoyed her. The sad part is you also must have used some trigger words in your reply. I've said I'm not looking for platonic to quite a few ladies with no repercussions. Now the hard part will be getting back on. First use a VPN. Then, a new email address and payment method. Also, new pics not from the same phone unless you strip the info off of them.
Ugh, that's a new one, I politely decline platonic all the time. I guess I need to change tactics yet again.

Let me know how yours goes as I passed on her as she wanted 1 k initially then I talked her down to 5 bens but that's still to high for me based on what else is available at the 200-400 range. Good luck and please report back.
