Can't image walking down from 30+ floors and then your being blocked in and having to explain why you late. Plus would the parking guy charge you the hourly rate as you were stuck. Haha.

Honolulu firefighters responded to a fire at Century Center that prompted the closure of Kalakaua Avenue in both directions tonight.
The fire was reported at 5:57 pm The Honolulu Fire Department responded with 10 units staffed by 39 personnel.
According to HFD spokesman Capt. Scot Seguirant, the fire originated on the 16th floor of the building. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 6:17 pm.
ADVERTISING.
One person was reported injured and was transferred to the care of Emergency Medical Services. Seguirant said it was not yet known if the injury was directly related to the fire.
Kalakaua Avenue was closed earlier in both directions from Kapiolani Boulevard to Makaloa Street. All lanes are now open.

This is another mystery location to me. Anyone ever been to this place?
Kalakaua was blocked off both ways in front of CC. Traffic was backed up to King. Had to make a slow, slow detour to Don Quixote, Kapiolani then back to Kalakaua. Saw yellow fire engines on the street in front, not inside, the building.
The fire department made everyone evacuate. A woman said on TV that she was in the middle of a massage when she was made to leave. She was getting a footsie, but can you imagine a monger forced to cut short a session before the finale?

Unusual day because I already had my first POP and was half way through my massage. Girls were scrambling to get out. No elevators working, stairs only. I was on the 25th, pity those on the 39th. Counted 8 fire trucks, traffic jam. Worked out OK because I was taken to home bar across the street with 5 Thai honeys from the shop for puu puus and drinks.
