Turn around and get back on S Broadway heading south again. Make that lap 2 or 3 times. You should see a few "current" prostitutes of the "present" to choose from "DEPENDING" on the time of day. I was driving down around the S Broadway stroll for a non-SW related errand on Monday afternoon (2:00-3:30 ish) and it was absolutely hopping. It's been a while since I've even been out window shopping so I didn't recognize many faces, but I saw maybe 10-12 over 3 or 4 passes mostly from Bates south to the pawn shop. There was a consistent congregation under the Bellerive overpass and a few making themselves at home on the stoop of a house for sale at Broadway and Itaska / Oregon.
Window shopping only as I didn't have much time for anything else, but I thought I'd let you all know since the recent reports have been about how dead it's been.

So I drove the stroll a few times this week and didn't see much of anything. MAYBE 1 SW getting out of a car by the bridge. However, I didn't turn back around as I saw something very strange.
Wednesday night around 8 pm I was headed north from casino. As I past the bridge there was a newer ford truck parked on the side of the road. Driver window was down with a guy in neon green t sitting there. I passed as he 'monitored'. Thought it a little weird. Stopped at the gas station, killed a little time, made my 'round' south and sure enough there he was. Even head turned to watch me. While I may be over thinking he did have a white earbud in his ear.
Needless to say I bounced. I felt it HIGHLY unlikely he was just waiting for service to come his way. And even if it WAS someone waiting, he (imo) was drawing TOO much attention to the bridge.
So am I crazy or anyone with more SW experience have a viewpoint here?

A while back I actually saw it pull a car over for speeding and passing in the turning lane a little south of the bridge.

The guy in the drivers seat was not in any type of uniform. It was the typical florescent green construction t-shirt. (And I think a baseball hat but again, I'm getting old so).
I've seen the unmarked DOT trucks and unmarked LEO trucks before and this did not appear to be one. When I passed there were no antenna nor was there lights hidden in grill. Regular Missouri plates to. Hell, it coulda been a 'spotter'. Marking / reporting for another car. However, I did not see anything else anywhere (like ready to pull out of lot further down the road).
It would not surprise me if it was some idiot who thinks it's curbside service. Just wait till your 'order is up'.

Be careful I gas this same truck about a month ago. I was driving the stroller and saw a white SW by the railroad picking cans up. I turned in the side streets to pick her up from the other side and noticed the truck at the bottom of the road, I looped around assuming it would either more along or pick her up but it stayed there kinda just watching g over her. Needle say my spider sense was going off so I left and found another one near the bridge on a side street however someone beat me to her as I was pulling up. I did another circle because I saw another near the same spot when all of a sudden I see that same truck coming towards me. I decided to just keep on going but it was definitely creepy.

The reason I know this is because a coworker came to work and showed a video off of FB of the ending of an "encounter" in an alley off of Bates. He is a State Street Original and the John was his wife's cousin. There were a lot of pictures and videos on that page of vehicles picking up and strolling, with plate info visible.
I'm not saying that's what it is, I'm just saying that's what I was a witness to.

I am just stating what I was shown on someone else's phone from their FB page. This was 19 or early 20. I want to say it was a page for the Carondelet Neighborhood. But I could be mistaken.
I've never seen the vehicle in question on the stroll, but I have seen a similar one that sounds very similar (unmarked light gray late model F150) further north on Broadway /7th around the brewery in Soulard. It's camped 2 or 3 times a week, usually around rush hour pulling over semis carrying more weight than is allowed on Broadway. If you're familiar with stretch the pavement is all chewed up and buckled like it is on the stroll. They get heavy semis trying to use Broadway to bypass 55 when it starts really stacking up that time of day.
It could be a mundane explanation but always be safe, trust your spidey senses, etc. Even in that best case scenario I'm sure he's scaring off some foot traffic.

STL Metro has a commercial vehicle division, as does STL County. That's why you see all the semis pulled over in Soulard. It's been going on for years. Although you will NEVER see an AB or Penske truck pulled over. You won't see those officers south of Lemp
So, first of all, hello folks. This isn't my usual haunt, but I'm in the area and found myself with a free weekend so I decided to take the tour of the scene and I have to say, I'm used to seeing my share of Skags, but you've got some particularly nasty looking things crawling your streets, which is a surprise seeing how lax your local LEOs are on the overnights, I would've expected more girls and better quality because of that. Actually I'm pretty sure I saw an equal number of old black men getting picked as I did "women"(bridge trolls?
Maybe it was just a bad night because of the rain until midnight, but the only activity I saw was in the ho-zone layer between the Casino and Bates Bridges and a few homeless by the laundromat, though I did do several runs throughout the day as far south as the walmart / walgreens near 255 and went along the path of Broadway to Grand Ave to Florissant Ave as far north as the Love's, making a few stops as I went to talk to locals and Security guards as I played tourist. I will say it was rather interesting watching and hearing about the gang activities in this city, as I've never quite seen it run as rampant anywhere else I've traveled, though I'm suspecting that's part of the reason why LEO presence was so scarce overnight.
I think that pretty much covers my night, any tips for a tourist would be appreciated as I expect this won't be my last time it the STL area with free time.
As a final bit, I also checked out the websites to see what was on the market in the area and prices and I got to say, the Ho-flation is real here, both price and weight wise.

I've mentioned this probably a hundred times over the past couple of years. The strolls here in St Louis Misery are the worst in the nation. It's almost embarrassing 😒. Over the past few months I've visited other cities and each one had better looking prostitutes to chose fron. Two notable working girls were killed recently, a week apart in separate unrelated events. Nothing to do with the tornado; they were both murdered, before that ripped through their hoods. They aren't likely to be known by the SBW regulars who most often post in this thread, but they will be missed by a lot of the many lurkers of this site who aren't in that social club.
First was Diane, the very tall, slender, blonde & uncommonly bright middle-aged woman who always attracted a lot of attention whenever she was out, whose body was apparently dumped in an old closed church in the College Hill neighborhood. There's been nothing that I can find either publicly or informally from some neighbors who knew her well about who, why, or how, other than it has been officially called "a homicide. " I knew her pretty well beyond what she did for a living. I'd like to be wrong, but I doubt it will ever be known what happened.
Then a week later Ariel was shot and killed in a dope house on Wells near Academy. Ariel was the young (mid-twenties) totally crazy as a loon, but very cute girl, who usually stayed in & worked at a different north city neighborhood about three miles away from there (at a common working girl hangout spot that's not ever discussed in this thread). She was one of the three other people killed by the whacked out dude who committed suicide by cop, by shooting at them when they came to investigate after somebody noticed the dead guy on the porch, then found two other bodies inside the house. If you're confused about which Ariel from the West End location where she wan't a regular, this is the Ariel that always wore a head wrap. (Requests to identify the deliberately unspecified place she normally worked will be politely ignored. If you know, you know. Nobody will benefit from a sudden invasion now by some of the dipsticks here who tend to make a ridiculously indiscreet spectacle of themselves, and it's real hard to even get in & out of there now anyways.).

Maaan. We all know how these "friends" that we meet have issues. I've been knowing Jess for a good 5 years and every time we got together, we always really enjoyed each others company. Granted over the last several months I would see her and see what's up, it usually ended with a quick conversation or me just giving her a ride up the street somewhere because she was talking internet quotes if you know what I mean. Which was cool because she needed to do what she had to do, no hard feelings on my end.
Last Friday, I spot her and she gets in and we start driving and she was quick to be upfront about her doing "me" a favor and was cool to do our usual agreement instead of an internet agreement. Of course I'm like were apparently doing each other a favor, don't act like you're running this and we both laugh etc. So were riding and talking and she told me about someone close to her passing away and I consoled her on that etc and she also needed to all and meet up with a "friend" real quick. So in the meantime of meeting her friend we stop and get food, drink etc.
She was pretty wired when I swooped her up but nothing to crazy. Unless me seeing her inside the restaurant waiting for her food doing ballet spins doesn't count as a little off LOL! She meets up with her "friend" and head to the spot. All was good for a few minutes after we got to the spot but ten minutes of being there she needed to call another friend so the can get together later on and go do something. She changed real quick from wanting to eat and then go to sleep. So she made a call to her buddy and after the conversation I'm like how you going to make other plans and she was like it's cool, I'm just going to meet up a little later, the whole bait and switch ishhh. I'm thinking because she was familiar with the area we were in she felt comfortable enough to bounce when she wanted to if needed.
So, she makes her "cocktail" and eats etc and was getting a little "sleepy" and to keep herself awake she started folding my clothes LOL, in my mind I knew how this was going to end but was like " shit, theses clothes needs to be folded anyway, so I aint mad" LOL! She gets that done then she got ready to "hang" out but the whole time I'm watching her and talking to her I'm thinking that she lost a LOT of weight as her and I talked about in the car and she pretty much put it on the loss of a close friend and not eating as much blah blah blah but still with all the marks on her legs and areas, I had to think with my BIG HEAD and pretty much was going to pass on "hanging out" with her. We chill for a minute as I let her relax and several minutes pass and she starts to get up and get dressed. I said to her what you doing? She replies I told her to get dressed. WTF? I did not say that to her as I told her and she starts getting a little ignorant with me. I was just like. Dude, I did not say get dressed but she kept going on and on and starts talking about this friend she supposed to meet and trying to rush me to take her to meet her friend which kinda pissed me off. Granted in this whole maybe 2 hour session of being in each others company, I had two beers-keep that in mind-.
You already know the story of how they flip like a light switch because that's exactly what she did. On the way to my spot earlier leaving the restaurant she started eating a messy hamburger, taking the shit apart etc and I'm like WTF man, you ain't getting that shit all over my car and she was like I won't. She ended up wrapping the shit up and said I'll wait until we get to where were going. So we're leaving my spot getting in the car as she's still bitching about me supposedly telling her to get dressed and now It's urgent for her to meet up with her friend and as we're driving, we see a cop that had someone pulled over up ahead in the distance. This biotch had the nerve to say I'll throw this trash out the window in front of this cop! I'm like tha'ts on you and your ticket and dis ho replied. Yeah but your ass been drinking! I'm like "*****! I only had 3 light fuckin beers in 2 fucking hours" she was like so what they still would arrest you lol! I'm guessing as we were approaching the cop, she remembered she may get searched also and she didn't throw that shit out when we got up next to uncle.
That right there was a quick reminder of how someone with nothing to lose, any mental instability and an addiction problem. No matter how long you've know them and things are cool whenever you get together. Can flip on you quick! Don't get me wrong. There's not that much or kind of trust I have for her by no means but that was straight not her in all the years I've known her on a good or bad day she may have had. Talking about wanting to choke a *****! She's lucky I didn't kick her out of the car etc because she was off the chain and talking about trashing my car! I'm glad she "Sobbered" up and did not go that route because I may have had a mugshot posted that night!! I thought I would share my little story as no one is really on here anymore and no, I don't need advice, pointers etc because the seniors as I am on here surely gives a couple girls some "Special" attention from time to time.
What will I do the next time I see here. Most likely go off on her and roll on to the next "Friend".

Scooped a few ho*s off Belt and later Arlington, then 2 girls together at the old murder Mobil at Nat Bridge and Goodfellows (1 wht, one blk). Street rates applied for BBBJ & BBFS cip fun. The Arlington girl was the best. No digits since these bitches can't keep phones to save they life. But they're out there boys and much more agreeable on the MLK-Wells blade then on Broadway. Been coming here for years. Just my own opinion.

Came back up to the STL from sunny Fla to visit family. Called Neisy who I met on my last visit. She's 27 but looks 18 so looks a solid 8, and performance a solid 8 to match. Will repeat, and she has a phone, but she asked that I not share digits. She has a steady clientele of regulars she said, and only walks a few times a month if biz is slow by Arlington and MLK. I hit SB last Sunday. First time ever. Thought it was dead. But apparently the girls started showing up after 5 pm.
