I booked her 2 weeks in advance and sent her all the screening info she requested along with a deposit. I did not try to communicate with her at all in-between making the booking and the day of (no sexting, emails, etc.). On the day of the booking, I politely texted her asking if we could maybe move the time of the booking as well as make a small uniform request (just lingerie), and I told her I was happy to keep the original time we scheduled if it wasn't possible to move it and disregard the lingerie request if it was too much of a hassle. Her response proceeds to dumbfound me. She tells me "no I texted you too much. I don't get paid to text with you people. Goodbye" which literally made 0 sense to me since like I said, this was the first time I've communicated with her since making the booking and it was literally just to work out logistics (not sext or time waste). When I politely asked for my deposit back, she then told me she would blacklist me and then blocked me. This whole interaction just completely shocked me since I was very polite with her, did not try to time waste / sext / negotiate, did not use profanity or foul language, and literally just asked for a potential time change (and told her I was happy to keep the original time if it wasn't possible) which was met with the reaction of getting told I would be blacklisted and blocked. I'm not pissed about the deposit since it wasn't material, but more so by the rudeness and lack of maturity in this whole situation. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or something, but I will be more careful with booking early 20's indie providers (who don't have many established reviews) in the future since it seems like not all of them are emotionally or mentally stable.
Happened to me with another provider.
I've discovered that providers are obsessed with attacking the supposed problem of prospective clients being "time wasters". That's a big issue with them. The definition of a time waster changes with the provider but the upshot is if you ask one too many questions, or after a few questions you decide not to book a particular provider, you run a good chance of being blacklisted on one of the sites. It will then become exponentially harder for you to book a provider. The problem with this idea is that it leaves no room for us as clients to shop around and ask questions to figure out who we think will give us the service we want at a price that is acceptable to us.
Someone got mad at me for being a "time waster" and posted about it on one of the sites where providers attempt to blacklist clients. One of my regulars saw it and she and I had a big laugh about it and she posted several positive reviews of me there to counter it. If you have one or more providers you have a good relationship I suggest you ask the same.
This is another example of providers not giving a crap about us and being unreasonable. I'm going to bet that most providers spend some time making sure if they are spending several hundred dollars or more on a product or service that they spend some time and effort making sure it is what they want. It only makes sense. And what time are you wasting asking a few questions via text? It's ridiculous.
