Dangerous? Not really. Weird at times most definitely. It's certainly no worse than the Tenderloin from what I remember of my SF. times.

Years ago, when I lived a few blocks away from Flavel Carts, I'd walk previous copilot in that area. Scored a nice 27yo WSW blonde once right in front of where the fence company yard used to be. She's still in my top ten of SW pickups.

Even now w/ the current copilot I sometimes get out in various areas & walk her if I think it would be beneficial to the hunt. It's worked once in a rare while.

Nothing else spotted, of interest or snark worthy to JCB. Light PPD in the time frame we were out.

I occasionally pick up SW's on the street. But only as a last resort. In cities & states where there is loitering laws the risk is much greater. LE has also been very aggressive with loitering laws as well. The best way pick a girl on foot is get out and simply say hello to her. If she is working she will clue you in and ask you what up. I usually reply "just looking around". I will then ask her if she wants to go. When talking to the girl on the street do not use term "date" or any other thing that implies sex. Do the cop check and negotiate when she is in the car. The other problem is that many SW's will get offended if you walk up to them.

She did looked nice and had me taking chance in daylight.

Not a fan of walking on the Blade per se. But I have unsuccessfully and successfully have parked a couple blocks up / down and have Walked by SWs, engaged in passing "sick of swinging around, hang a Right / Left, I'm parked down the block. " or parking up / down the next block and essentially walking towards the corner and when they pass, wave them in, you walk them to your car in a weird way. Works about 70% of the time.

Only done with no eyes viewing.

Have also (in the old days) around Stark, faked like I'm looking at a bus schedule and have an under the breath convo with Walkers at the bus stop.
