Notice the "boxes" in the upper right-and corner were gone when E came back up after the raid. Notice the text appears undisturbed.

What happened today is about 75% of the profiles were removed all of a sudden. It appears one of the consequences of the recent raid is a lack of documentation that E was dealing with adults in all cases. It appears those profiles that remain are by advertisers with credit cards on file, and those that are gone are by advertisers where E has no documentation of age.

I didn't know a credit card allowed a merchant to verify the account holder's age. Maybe the card issuer gives out their record of age to a merchant upon request. A member here who takes credit cards in his business might speak to that.

My observations are based upon a post on another board about an email E sent out. Following is that email:

It would be to E's advantage to cooperate. Of course E would also give name and address along with it. So for LE to see the information LE would not have to actually be "running the place."

Isn't this already the situation with Eros? Doesn't Eros require proof in some form? I seem to recall reading that.

The point, though, is whether the card issuer will give a merchant (in this case, E) , age information on the card holder (in this case, the advertiser) . If not the whole thing is pure BS, like a provider asking for a credit card number to prove the guy is not a cop.
