Take a tape recorder with you and record the conversation which should only discuss the money she is requiring, not the reason why, because the reason is not important. Then make another appointment with her in another public place. Tell her you recorded the previous meeting. Tell her plain and simply that under Indiana Law tape recorded conversations, one way, are allowed for purposes of fraud, extortion and criminal activity. If she has any further plans regarding her extortion or if ANYTHING disturbing is ever divulged to any member of your family, then you will direct your lawyer to contact the local police and proceed with criminal action and also start with Civil action. The tape recording will be in your lawyers possession and only one phone call is needed by you to him. You might want to actually contact and retain a lawyer. Remember lawyers are less expensive than a divorce. You can even take a well dressed friend or even your lawyer to the second meeting.

Also find out, if you can, any of her extra curricular activities like going to a gym, shopping places, etc. And develop a story of how you met this very forward and nutty woman at one of these places she frequents. Mention it to your wife about your weird experience and also how she keeps on running into you. This builds up credibility of a potential stalker story. I think you get where I am going on this one.

Last week, people were saying to type in phone numbers to FB and find provider's personal pages, etc etc. Well this is what happens when the tables are reversed. Really big problems. If you are a married monger and don't want to go down this road, then use serious caution. (I understand that single mongers may have no worry / limited worry in these instances).

* Never use your real name. * Never use a phone that can be tied to you in any way. * Never allow provider to know your workplace.

In this specific case, I would get an attorney ASAP.

Nothing happened and that was the last I ever saw or talked to her. Later from another provider I learned that word got out in that circle of what she did and she was pretty much shunned after that.

Been doing research but not truly satisfied.

Alright guys, need some advice from you hobbyists, I have a real creepy situation. I read about your bad experiences, esp the one recently with a provider who was threatening to tell a wife and now I have a problem. I have a guy who has texted me back and forth a few weeks back in response to a BP post of mine. He started out ok with some pushiness and timewasting, but calmed down. After setting an appointment and after he was supposedly otw and I had given him the address, he no showed. I hadn't heard from him since then and then out of the blue he texted me again and asked if I remembered him. I replied yes but that I wasn't interested. He then replied with "well you will want to know you are under investigation". I had already searched his number back then when he was timewasting and fishing for info to check for LE. I didn't find anything on him. So I did a check again on his number and this time his name and found a rather lengthy criminal history including domestic battery and criminal confinement and notations regarding his lengthy criminal history in Nebraska. Safety is always my concern and yes, I do have a way to permanently defend my self against him should he ever show (he sent me a picture a while back) but what advice do you have to a provider to stay safe?

You need to record her making an extortion statement, then let her know what you have. I think it will be enough to scare her.[/QUOTE]When the person making the threats is an immature 24 years with a monkey on her back counter threats only escalate due to her desparation for a fix.
