Strip Club Reports

Was in Indy from out of town and went to Babe's then Harem.

Babe's had maybe a half a dozen girls, only one I had any real interest in. She was pretty thin, redhead or strawberry blond. Did two song dance with her with plenty of grinding, then smoke the a cig with her outback while one of other dancers was complaning about giving lap dances and guys touching her. Went to the atm to get some more $$ hoping for some offer of extras from the redhead, but she kept running around the place, on her phone and then ordering food so I split and went to Harem.

Harem wasn't much different. There was only one girl I liked in there, the others were pretty heavy. Again, unlimited griding and groping, but nothing private and no extras.

From what I'm reading this seems par for Indy. What's the best route for my next trip, escort or backpage ads?

I figured this time I would just skip Babes and go to Harem. I went around midnight and it was dead inside. 4 girls working in Harem. 3 Black and one white with glasses. Talent wasn't looking good. I only stayed for one drink and left. There wasn't any customers in there either.

After Harem I went to Babes. For once babes had better looking talent. There were about 5-6 girls working and a couple of 7's-8's. It started of well but then the night quickly declined. I was talking with one dancer and her mood went from great and fun to completely crazy. She started yelling at some other people and was telling everyone to leave her the f alone. Then she was back like nothing happened. Her name was precious. That killed my buzz and I just went home.

Drove by tonight for the first time in months and it was closed. When did that happen?

I'm staying near sunset strip. Any take out there or in club action? PM if you wish and yes I just bombed the board. I tried reading the threads, trolled CL, BP and the track with nothing that got my attention last night. Looking for some help this evening from my fellow mongers. About the most optimistic part of the visit although I did have a very nice dance with a dancer that had been gone a year and is back in town to visit family. But after the holiday she'll be gone poof.

Other than those found Brass night shift to be same ol same old.

On West 16th Street? I was in there 2 weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon and it was open.

Wild Cherry, Zeus, Sassy Kats and now this club closed and newer clubs aren't opening in the suburbs. A lot of the local clubs have been around a long time and are getting a little old and rundown. The neighborhoods are declining and the customer base is moving further out and don't want to drive back into the city to visit a rundown club in a dangerous area. The nearby ghetto locals who do come in don't have much money to spend and also help to scare away any remaining customers who would have money to spend. The lack of money being spent causes the quality of the girls to decline. There ends up being no reason for anyone to make the drive there and then the club goes under. I wonder if a combination of right wing religious fundamentalists and left wing liberal feminists, neither of whom like the idea of men being entertained by scantily clad pretty young females, are using their political muscle to keep new clubs from opening out in the suburbs as the old declining ones close down.

Several years ago (I'm thinking 30+) if a person owned a bar and decided they wanted dancers they could just hire some. Now a bar has to have an Adult Entertainment Permit, and I think even a Dance Hall Permit. There are a few groups that watch the bar permitting process (NESCO is the worst) and when someone wants a liquor license they usually remonstrate at the Liquor Board hearing. If they want the other permits the opposing groups will go to every church, school, day care center, and anything else they can think of to get a large group at the hearing in the effort to keep from having the permits issued. All of the really old joints were grandfathered in and don't have to worry about it for the most part, but if they screw up and break a law or 2, the groups will go gunning for them and try to get there permit revoked; this is what happened to The Dungeon and, I think, Sassy Kats.

The hearings are on local cable and are often quite boring, but sometimes can be entertaining.

You have to have a Liquor Permit to serve booze, an Amusement Permit for live acts (bands, dancers, comedians, etc.) and that is pretty much it. You have to have tax auths and inspecinspections but those 2 arr the only licenses you need to run a club and hell if you did not want to serve booze you only need the Amusement Permit.

Club owners back in the day made up the adult permit idea to dissuade and distract potential clubs from opening. The city will probably never let anymore open.
