I left town in September about when new owners took over Cheetahs. (I used to go there for the daytime 2-4-1's, but moved on to Play It Again Sam's in the past year.) I won't return to town for another couple months, but am wondering if anyone has heard or experienced daytime play at Cheetahs under the new owner / management? Thanks.

I haven't heard anything worth while from the forums.

My last trip a couple weeks ago I hit both these clubs up on different nights.
Palomino was very nice, and on average had very good looking girls though not near the same volume as the Rhino. They get fully nude on stage and in the VIP but not walking around, not a surprise but hope springs eternal.
I'm sure individual experience varies, but I got way more mileage for cheaper at the Rhino. Girls looking around for a sec on the floor and going further if the coast is clear, where in Palomino it was way more by the book.
Palomino VIP doesn't require drinks though, so it's a flat 100 compared to the Rhino's 145 for VIP and 2 drinks. Think I would choose the Rhino 9/10 times between the two.
Went here a few months back and forgot to write a report as I'm not in Nevada but go there for work. Got a dance from a girl that said she was a pole dancing champion and it was prob the best private dance I've ever got. Cost was 80 but I tipped another 80. I will never forget the reverse cowgirl gorilla grip by a sexy chick for as long as I live. I'll be back 2nd week in Jan and I hope to see her again if she's still there LOL.

I'm taking the plunge and coming out for AVN week. I've read enough of these reports to know extras are not likely, but any recommendations where mileage is better?
Any experience (s) you guys can share about visiting these places during AVN week? How likely am I to see known names dancing? I've never been to a vegas SC, not sure how busy they are under normal conditions, but how busy are the clubs that week? For comparison purposes (to those familiar with them), I grew up in Houston, and spent most of my early 20's at places like Rick's and Centerfold's on Fridays / Saturdays / Sundays.

During my last pass through town, I noticed a "for sale" banner on the building that used to house Olympic Gardens. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
Leaving The Cosmopolitan, I ran into construction detours--which pushed me onto a street where I "discovered" Sophia's. I recalled an article saying that after the Olympic Gardens closed, the management team moved over to Sophia's. Here are a few impressions.
They have valet parking, and self parking doesn't seem to be an option. I don't mind valet if I'm prepared for it--that is to say I've stowed articles safely away before approaching the club. Bottom line: it was hassle free. I gave the keys to the valet, in exchange for a claim ticket. There was no discussion of parking fee, or mandatory tip. Nonetheless, I tipped the valet when I left.
I have NV ID, so there was no cover charge. All of the clubs are engaged in dynamic pricing schemes nowadays, so I didn't bother to ask what the cover charge "normally" was.
The building reminds me of Treasures in this respect: from the outside, the building looks huge. But upon entry, the main showroom floor and bar area feels small relative to the size of the building. Like Treasures, it appears there is a lot of unseen space is dedicated to VIP. Laps are $20. I don't do VIPs, so I didn't inquire about the pricing options.
A substantial number of the ladies apparently are of Central and South American origin. Their English is very good--so don't think it's like Chicas Bonitas. I even ran into a couple of ladies I originally met in clubs like Crazy Horse or Sapphires. These two told me that those clubs started offering them lousy shifts--a soft sign that they being encouraged to leave. (Don't take this as me saying these ladies were "second tier". They look really good to me--so it must be some other management issue.).
Everyone has their expectations for a strip club experience. I found things to be "okay" here. No cost to enter. Look at some nice looking women. Chat and have a drink, or get a dance, from someone that interests you. I just have to figure out how to get "locals pricing" on the drinks.

They don't advertise locals pricing on drinks but they do offer it. It's about half price.
