His election was a repudiation of both parties and especially of standard run-of-the-mill Republicans who were rejected time and again during the primary process in favor of Trump. Registered Republicans made that very clear during the primaries. Now we have the Democrats trying to push a cognitively impaired, addled old fool down our throats and that is not going to fly either regardless of how one may feel about Trump. We know the dangers lurking behind Biden and they are far worse than any "danger" implied by another four years of Trump. Unfortunately Trump haters cannot, will not admit to that. So be it.
