It's the "texting apps" that allow people to basically use unlimited burner numbers that can be switched easily. Those kind of things get abused by guys who just like to waste provider's time, set up appointments with no intention of ever showing up, book multiple appointments from different numbers (and not show up for any of them), etc. It makes it kind of futile trying to block or blacklist bad clients when they can basically switch to a new number anytime they want. So, that's the reason why some providers don't accept bookings from those kind of numbers. There are no shortage of scammers and thieves out there, to say nothing of Uncle LEO.
