First, I'm 65 and have type-2 diabetes as well as other age and family health related issues. I'm not trying to have intense workouts to bulk up! Just stay fit, trim, limber and active.
I do 1/2 of my max weight on each station on the circuit, and double the number of reps. I go medium speed through each rep, and wait a couple minutes between each set of reps. 10 stations M W F, 11 stations T T S.
Usually I just I cruise through the 30 minute elliptical sessions, reaching 130 BPM pulse. A couple days a week, I do HIIT sessions where I go to 140-145 BPM pulse during the 30 minute workout.
Body fat 10% estimated by Bodpod, and Inbody BIA system at another location to confirm the Bodpod's result. Resting pulse about 60. Last A1 c 5. 2, never been over 5. 6 since 2000 Dx of type 2.
