SA will gladly automatically renew you with no warning, and I have had mine renew even a day or two before it actually expires. So beware if you are new to their practices.

They are ruthless, and you have little to no recourse if they automatically renew you and you don't like it. I would not put it past them to block you if you contested the charges on your card. Once I able to get a refund, and I forget the circumstances exactly, but I think I stated that I had found my ideal Baby and was no longer looking (which was the truth at the time).

I once put my membership on pause, but I kept a card on file with them, and they gladly automatically charged it when that pause expired with no warning. Before they did that, I had tried to extend the pause, and even messaged tech support that I couldn't figure out how to extend the pause, and in the meantime they charged me and basically told me to pound sand. Totally absurd.

So after that last time they renewed me automatically, I poked around hard enough to find the setting to remove the card that was stored on their system, and that fixed the problem.

Also, I do usually wait until they have a promotion and I can renew at a discount. Unless someone really hot messages me, though unfortunately sometimes these gals only send a "hey" which is really annoying.

I think the random pandemic millionaires disappeared late last year. It seemed like there was a delayed reset in expectations on SA because it takes time for people to churn out of arrangements and the girls continue to go and look for next arrangement at unrealistic rates. In hotels, other guests cannot get the personal information of the booker of the room, not even the booker themselves. Staff do know what you book the room for but it's just a name unless you are a public figure or local prominent family.

And the warden always pays that credit card - - if that process were to change, that in itself would raise suspicions. I have booked a room at a Choice Hotels before, before I became so cautious. I provided my sugar email and a mashup of my real name that could credibly be me (enough to match my drivers license, which you *do* need to check in). First, if your SO audits everything, she can audit the only things she knows. Say, open a brokerage account and get a brokerage credit card. If she finds out the card, it isn't suspicious. And close the account if necessary. If she controls the mailbox, hold the mail at the post office when you are expecting something. I used a USPS PO box to open a brokerage account. If she's controlling everything and looking for evidence of a divorce, where does your cash come from?

Now if you are a public figure that receptionists can recognize you and that back office staff can recognize your name on the database, there's not much you can do about it. Maybe you or the babe bribe somebody else to get the room.

Now for any personal data, it should be under some protection policy in large hotel chains. Either law enforcement or you personally may ask for it. It's against the law to tell anybody the details of your stay (with exceptions, yes, marketing). The data may leak or some staff may have access to it. But that's only a problem if you are a public figure.

For no-tell motels, most keep your I'd and give it back to you when you check out. I doubt if they record you for tax. I don't think anybody will be interested in the guest records of a random motel.

In the early days when you could bid $50 for a room in a 5-star hotel, I tried all the 3 - 5 stars in the cities around me. Nobody ever sends me promotions. It's so stupid; we all know what hotels are used for.
