I think the cops are cracking down because there is more out of town girls. The other big factor is the recent teen prostitution rings.

You bring up a good point, however, NCPD did run many stings last year and came up with little to nothing. There is a big difference if you have physical resources to use up like gas, ammo, etc. However, you cannot make people commit crime or break laws.

Granted Main, ECB, OS BLVD, and ECC has there share of pro’s from time to time, but the are moving around too frequently to necessarily get harassed or arrested.

To share my point, I have traveled from ECB to ECC in the same day. I ran into the same pro’s within an hour. I have also traveled ECB to OS BLVD in the same day. I also ran into the same pro’s shortly after I had arrived.

Many times, they travel in couples or groups for protection and to bail each other out. They use scanners, walkie-talkies, cell phones to track each other and alert each other of danger. They are becoming more sophisticated by using technology to stay out of trouble.

If you look back 10 years ago, the pro’s and the technology were not as sophisticated as today. Hence, more arrests occurred.

One way they could get more budgeting is to show that they are being outsmarted by pro’s through the use of technology.

I was temporarily stationed in San Diego during NOV-DEC and saw the usual girls working Main outside of dryside. I had really good luck in Nasty City. I would cruise the back street between the Blvd and the Hwy. There was always the BSW with the blonde platinum wig and also the one I always hit up about twice a week. Her name was Lolita. A Hispanic girl who gave BBBJ and FS for two Jacksons. She was always dependable.

I did see the white panel van and a couple a NCPD one weekend but they didnt really deter the girls. I will be back in South-Town in July and look forward to to getting back to the Hispanic ladies again. Out here in VA there are only BSW and WSW no oriental or Hispanic. Dont even bother looking or an AMP here either. Well, I look forward to getting back there soon.

Hizark21, you're on the right track with your assessment on prostitution stings.

But to set things straight, the grunt level cops aren't pushing stings, and chiefs of police and division heads don't do it to improve their image (actually, sting programs tarnish their image more than they improve it.) As previously mentioned here, they do it to keep their funding, and to keep a segment of their department going that wouldn't otherwise exist. In most cities, the senior washed up cops that can't be promoted or placed in more key positions end up in vice - it's sort of a safe haven for the third and fourth string cops.

Having said that, it's most likely your politicians that are the root cause, and probably one specifically. Why don't you see who's political resume is being polished by the sting operation programs, and you will then know who the real enemy is.

With all the usual come and go news about stings, AMP busts, general LE street harrassment, etc. here's a question about other alternatives in SD that are not exactly P4P venues. Can anyone access the nightlife potential as far as meeting a "drunk harlot" in any of these bars/clubs (with emphasis on recent reviews):

High Ball - CV
Coin Toss - CV
Feel free to add any other possible dives to the list as I'm only an occasional SD visitor and not really an expert on "action" in any of the ones listed. Thanxxx

For the record, the "Trophy Lounge" (in "Nasty City" as it was referred to) is just full of "West Pack Widows", and from when I was there (even in 1991!) were mostly filipina navy wives who were out to party as the "sailor boys" were gone.
While one may get "lucky" out of there, I truly doubt its a place for just the "SW's" to come in from off the street for an easy date.

I agree with you Redncek. I was in San Diego NOV-DEC time period and the Trophy Lounge was full of WestPac widows. There were also a few "professional" ladies every now and again. For the most part it was over priced drinks and LBFM looking for the free drinks. I had much better luck cruising the back streets by the hotels. There were always 3-4 SW out and about the area.

Weekend Cruised report:

Cruised Friday evening saw that older blonde again. Did not see much else. Cruised briefly Sunday evening around 5 & 9pm. The action was really dead.

Sorry, the confusion about those two places is common but they could not be more different!!!

TL is in National City on Nat. City Blvd., you can find it in the phone book. I think Thursday and Sunday nights are buck drink nights or something and the place is packed, but there are lots and lots of young swabbies there, god bless 'em.

The waitresses are not really available, though you would never believe it from the way they are dressed. Just a warning to keep you from heading down the wrong road!

"Honeyko's" is the name of the place in Imperial Beach, not "Honey Cove".

I used to be a former pro in this place. It always has been and always will be an easy place to score a date for sex. I have not been there in about two years now, but out of the estimated 35 times I have been there, I went home mabey 6 by myself! It's easy to get laid. Probably 75% of the women there, are simply looking for a sexual partner! The problem with the last time I was there, it was full of very seedy characters, gang bangers, sleazy drug addicts etc. Not really my type of scene. It was good in its day. If you're looking for ordinary women to bang, try the yahoo classified adds. I dated different women from this site in the SD area for about a year. I must have dated 20 different women, about 2/3 are looking for a sex partner. I kid you not. Many are out for revenge on the cheating husbands or boyfriend. It's a real trip! I was amazed at how often I would meet a girl from that site, take her out and only hours later be banging her in a local hotel! It's easy, probably even easier then picking up an SW these days!

I agree with GT about the Trophy Lounge.

I didn't want to seem un-PC, but yes there are alot of seedy looking guys there. Even worse, some of the women seem to be impressed by them! Black leather jackets are de rigeur there, sort of a uniform for the non-conformist. What a bunch of losers!

There are ALOT of security personnel there on the busy nights, that should tell you something. I saw them intercepting some people when they were still fifteen feet apart. 2 or 3 very well-dressed Caucasian couples came in the club in evening wear. The security guys got between them and a young african american guy who seemed to be quite agitated. The black kid, who was not exceptionally large, was staring intently over at them. My guess was that he had an affair with, and fell head over heels for the attractive Caucasian lady, but she was married and just playing around with him. The white couples left after 10 minutes without incident, but it was rather weird.

Having said all that, I never felt concerned about my safety there.

The place is still fun, maybe not as fun as TJ though.

Forget it. PB is a nice part of the city. You will not find any SW or SW bars. There are many bars catering to the college crowd so there are tons of law enforcement around.

You could try your hand at picking up a girl in a bar the old fashioned way but I can assure you that you will not find any pros.

Well, I just move to PB, and of course I would love to find a catch near home. I know that there are a lot of college girls working over the internet, college girls, a bit expensive and sometimes are not worth the money they ask for. Just once, a few weeks ago I found a 40 something lady at the 7/11 on garnet, regular looking, and offered a BJ and FS for half of a franklin but I think she was heavy on drugs. Nothing after that. I've been cruising on ECB and University blvd but not luck at all, the other problem is that I always go there late at night. Well, keep me posted if you find nice looking girls to go and try to catch them too.

Cruise report:

Cruised last night the action was dead again. Not sure why things are so slow now. The cops have not been cracking down that much. Could be that the girls have left for the winter.

Cruised up and down Hill St in Oceanside. Saw a few nice wsw but couldn't get any into my vehicle. Too bad, cause I was really feeling good and ready to spend a few bucks more for a bit extra.

Was in S.D. the end of Feb. Visited a couple of spa's and was satisfied.

The first was Won's Acupressure on 32nd near Univ. Guess I saw the mamasan and believe she was the only one there at the time, - approx 8:30pm. She was a little too old for me, so closed my eyes - lol. Gave a good back and leg massage and then asked me to turn over. Gave a good HJ, then finished massaging other parts till time was up. As I was finishing getting dressed, reached into pocket to find a 20 for a tip. She acted quite surprised and indicated that it was not expected.

A couple days later, visited Mimi's in the Hillcrest area. Again, saw an older lady (but not as old as previous one). Massage was ok, but not great. Did not spend much time before asking me to turn. She gave an ok HJ and asked for tip. I gave 20 and she wanted 10 more.

I do not believe much more than HJ is available at these 2 places.

Valentines Day I rolled to Mexico solo. Things were all coupled up down in the Plaza Rio zone and the clubs were over capacity so I decided to roll home to Escondido early. Anyway, a few shots , a little dance, and away we went. When I got her home I found out she had a little couchi patch shaved like a heart. What a nice valentine.

Sightseer- As for Won's Accupressure on 32nd and University, I managed to go up into that mamasan on my second or 3rd visit. If she remembers you, then you pay bit extra $80 and your sowing your oats. She often throws out compliments and feigns suprise if you give her a tip. She does give a pretty good massage.

Vamp- PB had a SG on garnet for about a 2 month period back in August and September of last year. She was a HOT smoking bsw who stood/sat at the bus stop on Garnet and Ingraham by the Papa Johns. She always got picked up right away since she had no competition and she was smoking hot. The cops hassled her hard and she disappeared. Sad story isn't it.

Cruised this evening around 5pm again. The action was pretty dead. Only saw this one bsw.

Its not a big waste of money, by seizing those cars they just made the city some money. It sucks by a large margin, but in their eyes they just made a buck. After all, they get paid to be out there anyway and the same pay, I've never heard of cops getting a bonus for a successful sting?

My rule is always ask the girls out there "hi? what ya dooing? need a ride?" once in the car then we talk about knob polishing, but never when shes out side the car

Since National City now has this new law, think about it. Say they actually get those eight cars and auction them off. I believe the city can actually sell them for current blue book value. Now I don't know what it costs their budget to operate one of these stings, but the profit from the sale of the cars must be more than enough to offset the cost of the sting. Sure, LE will tell us they run stings for this reason and that, but the fact is they do it for the $$$, no matter how many, or how few girls are out.

According to this article, the sting was in Nasty City where your car is taken for good. Now there's an incentive. Saying stings are a waste of time and money is a flat argument since they have no problem catching johns wanting to pay.

I agree with TANG! However, the problem is that the laws in EC and NC are based on the Oakland law which was upheld in the State Supreme court. Basically the court found that the city has the right to take property away from someone that is arrested for something - not just convicted. This sucks, but it is what it is. What is more scary is then the government could possibly take away anything it wants and we as an individual can do nothing about it.

Maybe the ACLU is willing to take this one to the supreme court!

With all of this property ceasing uproar I felt I should add my two cents.

Despite the "Bill of Rights" and its articles prohibiting unwarranted search and seizure there is a lesser known gem that is in the US Constitution known as "Eminent Domain".

Eminent Domain means that utlimately the goverment *can* take your property (house, car, etc) if it is in the government's best interest. Usually this is what forces the sale of houses in the path of a freeway expansion and things of this nature.

This car business could be fought as a constitutional issue. I think it is weak because it is neither a clear case of eminent domain nor does a prostition bust qualify under the Rico Act.

If someone was able to bring this car seizure business to the federal 9th circuit it may have a chance of getting struck down. The 9th circuit is solidly left-wing and some there have been recently labeled as "activist judges".
