From my memory, they were originally a c-org, but lately have had some non c-ladies.

Sucks, because CSR contact is meaningless unless you are able to write your request in Chinese.
I had the same issue, but then decided to use the actual burner phone number and I didn't trigger that check.
So if you are using a VOIP number, maybe try the phone's actual number, though I advise you to use a burner phone for the hobby.
I saw Emilia from LKS went on vacation recently and now has dropped from the site.
Anyone know if she went back for good or perhaps moved to a different org?

Just that multiple numbers so that a single number isn't overwhelmed with booking requests.
They just have numbers at times for the ladies, rather than creating a new name.

Admittedly a little intimidated with this being standard service at some agencies. I am assuming they have a rigorous test schedule as I have not read about any issues but would appreciate any perspective on that topic also.

Most orgs do require personal I'd if you don't have references they are willing to use.
PeachCafe has been reported to be the easiest, but I can't vouch, since I got in before the tighter security.
I do suggest you reach out and get past the screening process, as you may have to settle for a c-org if you wait until you're in the area.

East Bay - East of the peninsula (other side of the bay).
South Bay - Area near San Jose airport.
Assuming that you mean San Jose airport, since you stated flying into San Jose.
Lots of spinners, so take your pick based on the org you get into.
