I was Busted in a Sting
I was busted in a sting in Seattle at the very end of 2022. My case was recently dismissed, so I had been held in legal limbo for over a year and a half. I wanted to post about my experience, how it happened and what I had to go through. I'll start by saying that I was busted in the parking lot between Krispy Kreme and Jack in the Box on Aurora Ave.
Wow, what a mess! Sorry that happened to you but thank you for posting as this is an eye opener on the expense, hassle, and waste of time and energy. I imagine you had more than a few nights of restless sleep worrying about this.
You might want to post this on the streetwalkers thread as well anyone who frequents Aurora should read this.
I was busted in a sting in Seattle at the very end of 2022.
This was all super interesting; thank you for sharing! No judgement here.
It seems off for sure that they could arrest you in that situation just for inviting her into your car when you accepted no offer and made no request. And she approached you. I want to ask delicately. Exploitation seems to apply only to minors; did she say she was underage?
My bust experience was in CA while staying there for work. I used CL to find a "massage", and texted to set up the massage. I was super careful never to say anything other than "massage". I arrived at the fairly nice hotel, knocked, and the door opened. I stepped in and the lovely lady immediately stepped into the bathroom and two cops came out from the living area. They asked why I was there and I told them I was meeting someone for a massage. They asked what kind of a massage, and I smiled and said "lawyer". They didn't cuff me, but made me turn around and put my hands behind me, and they walked me into a room down the hall with a plastic table with 1 chair on one side and 4 chairs on the other. All filled with cops. They peppered me with questions for about 30 minutes, and I said nothing. I finally asked if I was under arrest and they said no, and I asked if I was being detained and they said they needed contact information. I gave them all my info and walked out. Figuring at any second they were going to grab me.
Got back to my hotel and called my lawyer who took point from there on out. I sweated every damn day for like 3 months while they completely stonewalled my lawyer and said absolutely nothing. My lawyer apparently made some kind of threat to them and they finally said no charges were going to be filed.
So nothing like the situation you experienced, but scary as fuck for me and living those months with that hanging over my head sucked. I now do not do hotels, I do not text anything other than time and place, and I bail on any session where the lady sends a menu or mention of dollars. That last has made me unpopular a few times.

Sexual exploitation is what they're now calling the previous charge of patronizing a prostitute. I didn't know any of this until I got stung. Age never factored into this at all. I've come to learn that stings are a factory, cops don't really like doing them and they crank through them as quickly as possible. I was never fingerprinted so the arrest doesn't show up in any databases. While in custody they hardly said anything to me at all and wore stone cold expressions. On one hand I wish I would have fought the case but on the other the result ended-up the same. I don't know if they will start recording stings or change the parameters, one thing which might work is having a dash cam or recording any interaction with a street girl. That also could work against you though. The undercover cop did mention in her report that because she made eye contact with me then that was an invitation for her to approach. That's what she said. You roll the dice any time you stop or talk to any street girl.
I was busted in a sting in Seattle at the very end of 2022.
Mine was way back in 2017. The intersection right across from Burger Master. Yeah, like a dummy I asked her the stuff you're not supposed to ask. Suddenly two SUVs showed up. Since I had walked to that intersection, they asked me where my car was. It was parked 2 blocks south on a side street. So I went to holding at Northgate and they never took the cuffs off of me in the 1 hour that I sat in there.
Then they trucked me downtown to the jail, and there I sat there along with everyone else in a holding cell. About 4 hours later, I was released on PR. Called the towing company, they had no record, so I eventually found out that the cops never towed it. I caught an Uber back to the car.
So 10 months later (my court date for arraingment was still pending, it was in some sort of holding status), a tech company wouldn't hire me with the charge, albeit pending, on my record. Hired a lawyer for $1,000 and he talked to the prosecutor and got the case dismissed. So then the company hired me after I got that worked out.
Stupid background companies that do their investigations for companies that are going to hire you -- they got it wrong. Stupid record said it was sexual exploitation of a minor. Went to the city of Seattle about it, and they diligently searched and said no, wasn't SE of a minor which of course it wasn't. Just regular SE (with a grown woman about 30 to 40!
Got that fixed with the background-investigation company.

SW protocol
Re: avoiding stings with SW, I thought the time honored protocol was no speaking outside the window. You pull up, unlock the door, she gets in, you start driving before a word is spoken. LE will never just get in your car like that (puts the officer in too much risk).
I've not been dreaming about SW adventures in several years, but I have driven on Aurora and saw a lot of window negotiations. Maybe need to teach the SWs to just get in the car.
Back in the day, I would keep the windows rolled up on approach, and as she got close, hit the button to unlock the car. Made an audible sound she could hear. I estimate 90% of the time she just opened the door and climbed in. The others any kind of negotiation started I'd say sorry I thought you needed a ride and drive off.
My technique of course is not full-proof and like the story that started this talk about stings, that guy was getting arrested no matter what (sorry that happened to you) - the cops know even with little to no evidence, they force you either to feel like you have no choice but to plead (which should be unconstitutional some of this pre-trial nonsense), or you have to lawyer up and your $200 or less hobby evening turns into multiple court dates and close to $5 k in lawyer fees.
Good luck out there everyone.

However in my experience you NEVER want to negotiate with these girls in the car. ESP if you are looking for an actual blowjob (BBBJ). Never ever. They will slam your door. Demand money from you to get out or demand you drive them down the street or back to there hotel. I have had far too many experiences where the girl gets in to negotiate and then it's like pulling teeth to get them to leave! These girls are super entitled! They won't just leave your car. The girls that try and get in right away usually are pulling scams in my experience. Ask for $20 to get out etc or "drive me down the street" and then when you say no they get all pissed and start bitching and moaning etc etc. Just don't do it. Also they could reek like fentanyl and / or have it on them.
DO NOT let them in your car to negotiate. You will regret it.

RE: SW Protocol
Unfortunately that's not how it works out there anymore and hasn't for probably about four years now. New SW's are trained not to get in until they get a confirmation of a date. Since a lot of West Coast cities declared that they will no longer arrest nor charge sex workers they won't waste time being discreet and getting in to negotiate away from the eyes of LE. I've argued with SWs about this in various forums including on Instagram and they won't budge from their view that it's a waste of time to get in without confirmation. It does make it riskier in my opinion to approach an SW on the street, but I think that staying out of large parking lots helps to mitigate that to a degree. There are new loitering laws which will probably go into effect soon and that new proposal apparently gives police more authority to stop suspected johns, so perhaps it won't matter anyway.

I did a 15-minute consultation with a lawyer who specializes in these types of cases about two years ago because I realized that I was out there and really didn't know how I could end-up on the hook myself. I had received a message on another forum from someone who had been recently busted so that prompted me to start learning. That lawyer told me similar things which you've posted here. No recorded evidence, lazy SPD half-assing stings, incomplete reports which put the burden of proof onto the defendant, etc. I decided to dig into the data and found that SPD primarily conducts their street stings in larger parking lots between the hours of 5 pm to about 8 pm on weeknights. In the past couple of years I did also see men being cuffed in the Lowe's parking lot. I think that eventually we're going to end-up in the same way cannabis went. With decriminalization or some kind of legalization. Just seems that we're at the most conservative point on all of this and everyone just assumes that ALL sex work is trafficking which is odd. Nobody is looking at anything nor being rational. We'll see where it goes, but doing stings and nailing suspected johns isn't doing anything in my opinion.
I was busted in a sting in Seattle at the very end of 2022...be aware that DNA samples and SOAP orders could be a thing of the future with stings. Be careful and educate yourselves so you can be as informed as possible.

I was busted in a sting in Seattle at the very end of 2022.
Sorry you went through that. It fucking sucks.
I was caught up in the 2016 Eurospa debacle. Made every noob mistake in the book and was cuffed in the massage room and placed in another room with 6 others in cuffs. Then upstairs to another room with more busted guys. Then into a bus in full view of the street to downtown jail. Then another holding tank, processed, put in slippers and grungy used tighty whities and an orange jumpsuit. Then another holding tank which was pretty fucking sketchy. Spent four hours in cuffs. Not fun. Eventually released on PR hours later.
Hired a lawyer - $5 k to walk in the door. But he was good. Somehow he kept requesting and being granted delays. Showing up in court every few months while they called me a sexual exploiter in front of a room full of people sucked but after 2 years it was eventually dismissed. Arrest record still exists, but no conviction thank goodness. Wish I could figure out how to get the arrest record buried without spending another chunk of money on legal help.
My advice? Don't get busted. Don't be stupid in your exploits.

Outcall stings
I know they do stings on the web, too. Like a dumbass, I used to get outcalls to my house all the time. Luckily I never got burned.
A few years back I used to get outcalls occasionally, and there was one that convinced me to stop. It was a woman in her early 20's. She looked good in her ad, but not like model good or anything. When she showed up, she brought another slightly older woman with her and said it was her sister. This unexpected other person showing up had me on guard, so when they started asking me questions about what I wanted to do with the younger one, I played dumb for a few minutes and didn't say anything sexual or about money. It kept being awkward and I told them they needed to leave. When they started to protest, I put on the mean voice and said "Get the fuck out of my house right now!" And they left. Thinking back, the questions they were asking were definitely the kind of thing that would sound awful when played back in court.

GPS rampant?
So, took a dive on some of the "higher end" escorts and all I have to say, are they all just GPS? Their effort is extremely minimal and then seem upset when I last longer than 5 minutes LOL. Like WTF? I can donate half and get a 1000% better experience?

They basically want you out as soon as you've paid in full, and not a moment later. At these prices, yes. So I don't hobby much anymore. All too often, they are simply and easily ripping us right off. Aren't they?

All the time on TNA they yammer on about how "great service is expensive". Yet they best ones I've had were all about $100. And those ones blew those TNA girls out of the water.
