Btw, is $150 FS the going rate at these AMPs now? Is this hourly or 1/2 hour? If so, you guys really need to move on from these AMPs. Yes, you pay a LITTLE more with some agencies and independents, but seriously you are going to have a much better time (and more flexible time) with a good escort.

Maybe someone can explain to me the appeal to an AMP BESIDES convenience and the bed shower? Sorry, not trying to judge here. We all have our needs. I just think you're gonna end up with a better deal long run with an escort. *shrugs*

I hadn't driven down Piedmont in a while, and saw this place next to Fuji called Aroma Therapy Spa. Based on location alone, I thought it might have potential, but I didn't find any reports on it after RTFF. Please send me a PM if you have visited but not reported publicly on it.

Gag...I doubt you would have paid that much for that type of service. And as the other poster said, more women, fewer men...1st law of supply and demand says prices should go down...and also, as has been pointed out, the Atlanta AMPs are higher than other places in the country. I've recently been to NYC, Dallas, and Chicago, and found lower rates than here. To each their own .....

I like your strategy. Guys need to learn to walk when things are not right. What some mongers fail to realize is that it's not a game of low-balling the provider to get the cheapest price; it's all about not paying too much for sub-standard service. Granted, a guy doesn't know what the service will be like until he tries the provider, but given past experiences (dozens at a minimum, not one or two), it forms a basis for what's reasonable. Most guys have no problem with a provider who charges higher than average prices if she's truly a cut above the rest, but I always take issue with those who don't deliver based on what they charge. I appreciate honesty and fairness and I expect that. If I smell a rat, I move on. If I fall for a game (done that hundreds of times), all I can do is write a report to warn others.

The $150 rate is usually for the FS part, nothing to do with the door fee for time. I think there's less overall risk/hassle with AMP girls because:

1. AMP girls typically charge less than escorts for FS.
2. If you have a problem with an AMP girl, at least you have some recourse (partial refund, offer to change girls) if you complain to the mamasan.
3. AMPs are typically safe: You usually don't have to worry about someone stealing the contents of your wallet although it has happened to me a couple times.
4. You can walk into an AMP, view the lineup and leave if you don't see someone you like. With an escort, you have the two-call system, no-shows, possible letdown because the pics don't match who's behind the door, pimp/jealous boyfriend hiding in the shadows, angry escort demanding a rejection fee, etc.

The only clear advantage I see with escorts is you can sometimes find a real hottie with looks/service above and beyond the call of booty, but then she's probably charging more too. I mean, I see FS prices for escorts in the $250-$300 range, while it's about $120-$160 for AMP girls. I think that's more than a 'little' more. But, as always, YMMV.

I see your point. Actually, I used to frequent AMPs quite often "back in the day." However, my point is that when push comes to shove at the end of the day, I still believe that an escort is a far better value. Yes, the range is from $120 to $160, but you add in the door fee and you're already starting to get into the range of escorts.

Additionally (this is unique to a single man, like myself), I really do not like incalls. Yes, I totally understand the risks in doing outcalls, but knowing all the busts that I've heard/seen in re: to Incalls (both agencies and AMPs alike). It's really turned me off to that. Also, I'm in my own element. I like doing 420 beforehand with the lady. All around, I end up having a more enjoyable time. Sometimes, I even had ladies (yes, even agency girls) stay the night.

I recognize that amongst this "hobby" I am in a unique situation. However, I still do not believe that AMPs are any "safer" than a standard Incall location or some incall that a provider got at some local Motel 8.

Also, from my perspective, AMPs are dying in ATL. Perhaps it's all the crackdowns that the cops have been doing. I don't know, but the last time I went to an AMP (about 1 1/2 years ago), it was not the same great experience that I had about 10 years ago. Also, in my entire career as a hobbyist, I've only managed to "take home" one AMP girl. One. I've pretty much given up on the AMP scene.

However in the end. To each their own.

Yeah, I understand. I'd love nothing better than to find a gem of an escort who provides genuine GFE, stays the night, etc. Just haven't found one of that caliber yet. Reminds me of the old days in Korea when $20 or a few groceries would get me a girl all night w/ GFE, shopping and partying the next day, and doing her again the following night.

AMPs may be dying in Atlanta, but not quite sure yet. They tend to go in cycles, so we may be in a lull. There's one sad trend though: The quality and service of AMP girls have declined over the last 20-30 years. Koreans operate the majority of AMPs. As such, AMPs have reflected changes in Korean society. A generation ago, Korean women were much less spoiled. A lot of that had to do with simple economics (they didn't have as many material possessions as younger Koreans do, had to work harder, etc) so they were more eager to please. GFE was the norm; now it's basically the opposite.

That said, the available pool of younger Korean women who are willing to work in AMPs has declined dramatically. Most are better educated than their mothers were so are less inclined to become providers. Those who do are less willing to provide quality service or want a lot more money. IF there's going to be a new surge of AMPs out there, I think they'll be owned by Chinese, Thai (we're already seeing a scant few), or other Asians.

I really haven't seen a huge difference in numbers of women posting ads. I view Craigslist, Creative Loafing and Backpage quite a bit. Are you able to find a lot of providers who are not hardened pros? If so, what's the strategy?
