I was up in Atlantic City a few weeks ago and ran into a couple of favorites from 1333 and 14k working at Ginza Spa. They all miss DC and both of them actually live in NoVA, so I grabbed numbers from both (very nice of the one to share even though I didn't session with her). One said a lot of the girls are back to Flushing or elsewhere up and down the East Coast.
On Sunday afternoon around 3pm, I walk passed Jasmine Spa in M Street and saw a guy with camera and lens stand across the street, watching the entrance of the Jasmine. Ten minutes later, I still saw the same guy at the same location. I don't think he's LE, maybe journalist!

I went to Jasmine and it was expensive and I felt like I was being taken for granted. Never again. I went by Rio on Friday and they were closed. On Saturday they were open. I didn't go in as money is tight right now. I have always been made to feel welcomed there and the staff really has treated me well.
checked it tonight (10/26/08). the directory in the stairwell has closed scratched across the entry for supra but i went upstairs anyway. the bell on the door made no sound though i heard people inside talking, laughing, and eating they may be closed but they aren't gone. given that there are other joints in the 'hood still open (i went by one nearby establishment where it was business as usual), this may suggest a temporary cooling off period. i hope so.
but what happened to dc? can someone point me to a news article that describes the city-wide crackdown? i've never seen an entire city's amp industry die without a single whimper before. they're usually something in the local paper where the guardians of the public morality beat their chests and proudly exclaim the end of sin due to their crime fighting abilities, only to ignore the situation when our friends come back to full speed when nobody is watching. but not a peep here. what gives? my apologies if this was explained in an earlier post but a quick review of the board revealed nothing other than that a lot of places had been boarded up.
my condolences to the locals for the end of a wonderful era, if indeed the closures are permanent. now the nation's senators and representatives will have to harass their **** interns for free rather than paying a fair price for getting down and funky while congress is in session. this is progress?

Eyes of the world will be on DC in late January.
From what I've heard on another board it seems that the police made their rounds telling everyone to close up. That explains why 1333 and Gold closed up. They continued to tell everyone to close up but when they didn't they made some arrests to show they were for real.
This makes me think. Did the DC police do this the right way? We see stories all the time where some smug cop talks about how they shut down a sex slave network or how it's dangerous to the neighborhood. They even get immigration involved and get everyone deported. But the DC police did this not for publicity but as just some sort of internal project.
Sky has new girl name Cindy posted. The looks worth a trip out the Tysons. I hope she's better than some of the other newcomers.

Performance included a massage that was subpar and way too long. She only left about 10 minutes for the deed. And she snickered too much.

Have not been doing the AMP thing for awhile. But back in the day we could expect an electioin year crackdown and then a return to normal. (I kind of miss Marion Barry's administration). But my sense is that this may be different. We never really recovered from 'Black Wednesday. '. I am thinking this is a continuation.
Any thoughts on this?

Any thoughts on this?[/QUOTE]Perhaps part of the problem is this area couldn't support such a glut of amps.Unlike the surrounding area,the ladies worked,ate and slept at these places for a diminishing return for services.Moving to a more profitable area or going independent makes more sense.We mongers,simply had too many choices for them to raise their prices.I think things will eventually balance out.There is money to be made.There just has to be a new business model.We mongers will have to contribute more to get quality services.

Sounds about right. Check out LA. They have a plethora of young, beautiful girls all giving BBBJ and multiple pops for $250. Check out New York. Their service is not that great but they have some awesome looking girls there for $200, plus they are notorious for tipping extra. Same goes for the San Jose area in California.
