That being said, I'm pretty sure most mamas and providers can pick up on the acne, the cracking voice and bad attempt at a mustache with someone barely in their teens.

When I was a 17-year-old senior in high school, a friend of mine swore up and down he could get us in to Femme Nu. I'd just gotten my license, so I called his bluff.

We went to the door (this was back in 1992 when you could enter through the back, like you do now or through the front, that faces Kapiolani) and he insisted we go in through the back. Some old guy was there, and let my friend in. He looked at my I'd and said something to effect of, "Oh, you're 18!" Slapped a wristband on me so the bartenders knew I couldn't drink and let me in. (Yes, they let 18 year olds in back then — I think the only club that was 21-and-over at the time was Pure Platinum — anyone remember that club?

This was before the Michael Enos shooting, so this was before some 500-lb Samoan worked the door and another guy patted you down before you went in. And the girls were amazing back then — and they let you do so much to them.

I was told by an AMP girl when inquiring about the age of guys coming in that mama at her AMP would turn away guys who looked too young. As for me, being born and raised in Hawaii, no one ever brought up the topic of massage parlors to me. My first experience of the AMP was finding this site by googling, following the directions, and hoping that what I read was not bullshit. I remember paying the house fee the first time, than mama said pick one. I looked at about three girls sitting down all nervous, like holy chet, this is real, who do I pick? I went into the room afterward and the girl admitted to me later I look nervous as f. Haha.
