Kentucky House Bill 8 enacted by the 2022 legislature made massage services, except when medically necessary, subject to a 6% sales tax effective January 1. Since our favorite places to visit are easily identified it will be interesting to see how they comply. I believe most will probably pony up and pay on the house fee gross income.

Even worse, they are dusting off KRS statute 233.030 that allows a private citizen to bring action in equity with local authorities against any landlord or building owner where prostitution is deemed to have occurred.

Granted, I'm not at all their usual clientele, I'm young, in reasonable shape, tip pretty generously, and ask permission before letting my hands roam, and if they say no to something I leave it at that. I have found 3 wonderful providers in the past 4 years (in Lex area AMPs) and I am still in contact with two of them. I brought in a bullet to one provider a couple years back, still packaged.
