In you situation. When I go somewhere for the first time or if I have not been there for a while. I give the $60 and hold back the rest until I am sure. I carry $$ in $20's and $10 unless it is a sure thing and with them I just hand it over. It they say no I just walk. Aussie has got a great post about doing just so.
If it is a bait and switch I am walking. And I want my money back.
Read posts from people like Aussie, Scotchyoke, Kitwalker, SkeltonKey and Shogun these are a bunch of contributors to the forum OR.
